  1. I love Blind Items. They are all trashy and gross and most definitely fake but they are like dirtbag logic puzzles and sadly, the most applicable use of my acquired skillset during my work day.

  2. Perd is the word.

    • “I’m Jay Jackson, and I am a newscaster in many tv shows and movies, though in reality I am not a newscaster, I am what they call in Hollywood, an actor”

  3. It really took me out of the movie when I was watching Fast Five and suddenly Perd Hapley was doing a news report on Vin Diesel’s daring escape from a prison bus, because he didn’t start by saying something like “The story of this desert bus crash is that a bus crashed in the desert.”

  4. Every time I see a link to EW, it takes me a second to realize Kelly means “Entertainment Weekly” and not, ew, as in gross. Although, given my feelings about some of the stories that come from EW, I think both meanings are true.

  5. RE: Deb Spinoff. Soooooo, there are so few ideas floating around out there, that “Everyone thought they’d hate her and she’d ruin the show, but in the end, she was tolerable -to- likable depending on the episode” has become a suitable pitch. Personally, I love the Deb character, my own feelings about her don’t enter into this comment, but this seems to be the general temperature of the internet. Even I don’t think, based on the evidence before me, though, that she could carry a spinoff.

  6. Did you guys know Louis C.K. wrote Pootie Tang? I love that movie, so I’m guessing I’ll enjoy those short films.
