When you’re out on a mountaintop with your friends and your friend is standing downslope from you and you have a frisbee, it’s probably hard not to get a little carried away when you throw that frisbee and it looks like it’s going super far because also there’s no way you aren’t high right now, which is fine, but I’m just saying that that might have something to do with how you’re perceiving the feat you think you’ve accomplished and maybe when you upload the video to YouTube it’s possible that not everyone who watches it is going to be similarly high or similarly into frisbees and maybe they won’t be as impressed with how long the frisbee travelled, even if it is kind of long, just because first of all it doesn’t look so impressive and second of all it’s the internet and I’m sure there are countless very long frisbee throws all over the place in here, so maybe let’s not get carried away with ourselves:

Canada seems like a nice enough place. Clean. A functional health care system. Poutine. I’ve never had any desire to live there though. AMERICA FOR AMERICAS! Just kidding. But, seriously, if I wanted to live in a place that was some weird hybrid between the United States, Western Europe, and Permanent Winter I wouldn’t, that sounds weird and cold. Now I am singing a different tune, though, thanks to their new children’s television show, Rastamouse!, about a felt reggae mouse on a skateboard. I’m super into Canada all of a sudden, because that shit is hilarious. Let’s all move there and have children and make our children watch Rastamouse! but do a really bad job of explaining it. Then, when we get bored, we can just put our babies in a free Canadian orphanage and move back to America for season 2 of Justified!

“You know, Gabe, you could just watch the first episode of Rastamouse! after the jump and save yourself the trouble of moving to Canada and starting a family.” HUSH! Go pack your suitcase full of flannel shirts!

A lady was walking her dog in a Seattle park on Friday when he came back from a run acting strangely and moving his head from side to side. She took him to the emergency vet and it turns out he was totally stoned! This is this weekend’s top news story:

My favorite part of this story is the heated, and in some cases, vicious, argument it’s somehow spawned in the YouTube comments about whether this story was anti-pot propaganda or whether you can get stoned from eating raw weed:

The Hippie Preacher Documentary The Church Doesn’t Want You To See

So last night I went to finally watch Frisbee: The Life And Death Of A Hippie Preacher, the 2005 documentary that came out on Netflix a few weeks ago that I was really excited to see because it’s about how this hippie guy named Lonnie Frisbee started the Jesus Movement and then was kicked out for being gay and the evangelicals tried to cover up his existence. But a funny thing happened: the DVD didn’t work. That happens with Netflix movies about 20% of the time, but when I examined the disc, it was scratched in a way I’ve never seen a DVD scratched: it has a perfectly straight, perfectly smooth deep scratch as if someone had deliberately vandalized it with a razor blade. Really, everyone on the internet? Really? You think that Seth Rogen and James Franco just came out and made up their own crappy movie-shilling joint-smoking banter and the MTV execs were like “Oh no, this isn’t what we had planned at all, pan out! Pan out!”? Really? Rogen and Franco were clearly reading lines written by the same writers off the same TelePrompTer as everyone else. Believe it or not, these things are planned. The panning out was planned. The whole idea behind the MTV Movie Awards is making awkward moments seem spontaneous and unrehearsed, when really they’re just half-assed and written two days before the show airs based on who has agreed to show up. Look, do you think they would have put the close-up version of the scene online behind an age-verification shield if they didn’t have the entire thing planned out?
