Did you guys catch the maybe Breaking Bad reference in Walking Dead last night!? Hopefully zombie Jesse will show up next. “I’M A ZOMBIE.” -Zombie Jesse -NYTimes

Want to listen to Mindy Kaling read a bit of her new book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? It’s an easy way to enjoy the book while being able to do other things. You know how you listen to podcasts and do other things? Like that. It’s called a book on tape get used to it. -Jezebel

It looks like Warner Brothers has chosen Ben Affleck to adapt and direct Stephen King’s The Stand. That is interesting news because he is normally just an actor! -FilmDrunk

I guess MTV is doing an episode of True Life titled, “I’m Occupying Wall Street.” Hahah. Of course. I had no idea MTV still made episodes of True Life! Maybe it’s just a one-off and then they’ll retire it again until they have another idea. I will unfortunately probably watch this. -TheDailyWhat

Do you like famous men with beards? Do you HATE famous men with beards? Well here is a slideshow to either enjoy or enjoy hating, either way. Or, if you don’t feel either way, here is a slideshow to ignore or flip through casually while you think of what you’ll have for dinner tonight. Good luck! -Celebuzz

Zooey Deschanel sung the national anthem last night at a World Series game. Ugh. -JustJared

Abigail Breslin shows her bra in New Years Eve? THAT IS INAPPROPRIATE! Someone get her on the phone and tell her that is inappropriate. -Movieline

This Salon writer said “Put a bird on it, right?” to a shop owner because this Salon writer is the best. Her article is about how that sketch has effected the selling of things that have had birds put on them, which is perfect. -Salon

By now I’m sure you’ve heard the tragic news that Courtney Stodden got kicked out of a pumpkin patch this past weekend. That’s why were not all at a pumpkin patch right now, yes? Boycotting all of them? Yes.-TheSuperficial

Somoene over at ONTD posted that they have a friend who works in casting for MTV and is looking for people to apply to be on the new season of True Life, along with a list of the new season’s subjects. You can head over to livejournal to see the whole list/apply, but here are some of my favorites:

I’M ROBOTRIPPING/SIPPING LEAN
I’M PLACING MY BABY FOR ADOPTION
I’M A FRESHMAN
I DON’T LIKE MY BREASTS
I LIVE IN DUBAI
I’M STUCK AT HOME
I CAN’T CONTROL MYSELF

You should be on this show. You should move to Dubai and stop controlling yourself and be on this show.

Fair enough, MTV. Those are stories that people experience. But I think you missed a few obvious topics that we can all relate to, and I would like you to add these to next season.

On tomorrow night’s episode of True Life, the John Norris-narrated documentary series that’s one of MTV’s only watchable non-Hills shows, three people with dominant online alter-egos share their experiences for True Life: I Live Another Life On The Web. All three are women (!) with varying degrees of social anxiety: one is a Second Life “rock star” and the other two are self-described “sex kittens” online, while in real life they suffer from shyness and agoraphobia.

True Life tends to treat its subjects with a refreshing degree of compassion, and this one, which might more easily lend itself to ridicule than, say, last week’s True Life: I Have Schizophrenia is no exception. Though they might be pushing it when the Second Life rock star cries after her performance, saying she “nearly lost it up there.”
