It’s A Good Old Fashioned YouTube Remix Dance Off!

It is a time-honored tradition to take a video clip of someone doing an ethnic or foreign-seeming dance (and/or just a straight up old person doing ANYTHING) and to lay some hip hop and/or skrillex over it and repost it on YouTube. It’s what America was founded on. Today, we have two such clips. IT’S A GOOD OLD FASHIONED YOUTUBE REMIX DANCE OFF! First there is a clip of an old man doing one of those Appalachian mountain man dances set to LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” obviously. And then there is a clip of some orthodox Jews at a wedding dancing to Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie.” Which is the best dance? Which is the best use of a Top 40 pop song for comical effect? Which is the most/least culturally insensitive? LET’S GET READY TO INTERNETTTTTTTT!

My favorite part of this story about how Alan Dershowitz sent the “Palestinian Chicken” episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an attempt to broker a dialog with Mahmoud Abbas is how he name drops that Larry David sent him the episode personally. Relax, Alan Dershowitz! We all saw it on TV, you show off. Just send it to the Presidents or whatever.

Stupid Anti-Drive Lawyer Rests His Case

Whoever Patti Stanger Is, She Needs To Rest Her Case

Patti Stanger, the host of Millionaire Matchmaker, appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Trainwreck Live over the weekend and said inflammatory things about gays and Jews. In particular, she said that gay men cannot be monogamous and that Jewish men “lie.” Hahahah. Uhhhhh. What? To be honest, I kind of think gay men got the better deal on this one, because that is so patently ridiculous that it doesn’t even make any sense. The United States of America is currently strongly divided over the issue of gay marriage, and it is not because the concept of a gay monogamous relationship is completely impossible to even conceptualize. What a fucking idiot this Patti Stanger is, whoever she is. But Jewish men “lie” is a tougher one to get around. Not really sure what’s going on with that one. Lie about what? Also, what? Just all around, what? Ms. Stanger, do you need someone to talk to? (It is worth noting that Andy Cohen is both gay and Jewish. LOL. Congrats again on giving yourself a talk show on your own network, sir.) Anyway, she has FINALLY broken her legendary silence and issued the following apology (from the Hollywood Reporter):

“I love playing video games! They’re just a really fun distraction from the day-to-day stress of my normal life. In a lot of ways I like them even more than movies or TV because you are kind of, like, interacting with the narrative, you know? We probably aren’t there yet, but I definitely think one day they’re going to have a videogame that just redefines storytelling as we know it. Roger Ebert claims that videogames can’t be art, and I think that’s just so short-sighted. One game, though, that I’m really looking forward to less as a counter-argument to what Roger Ebert said or as the paradigm shift of videogame storytelling and just because it’s going to be SO FUN is a game about the Holocaust set in a concentration camp. Yeah, I can’t wait to play that. I’m a total asshole.”

Jon Stewart Responds To Rick Sanchez About The Whole “Jew Media” Thing

Late last week, CNN anchor Rick Sanchez was being interviewed on the radio about whatever one interviews a CNN anchor about. Funny things that happen in the makeup chair? Teleprompter idiosyncrasies? During the interview, though, Rick Sanchez said that he thinks “Jon Stewart is a bigot.” Sure. Whatever. I’m not sure we’re all on the same page about what the word “bigot” means, but fine. It’s like they always say: words are in the mouths of the beholders. But after saying that Jon Stewart was a bigot, Rick Sanchez said that “everybody that runs CNN is a lot like Stewart.” Bigots? He must mean that everybody that runs CNN is a “bigot” like Stewart because surely, SURELY, even the most virulent neo-Nazi knows to keep certain opinions to himself in the year 2010 when he is employed as a News Journalist. Oh wait, no. Concerned that he wasn’t being too on the nose enough, Sanchez added: “to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah.” OH BOY HERE WE GO. Thank you, Rick Sanchez, for making absolutely certain that there was no lingering doubt about your aggressive anti-Semitism. It was touch and go there for awhile, but you definitely set the record straight. (Sidenote: really with the Jew-run media thing? At the very least, you would think that anti-Semitism would have GROWN UP at a certain point. Our technology can create lifelike dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park movie, but we’re still talking about Jew-run media?) Needless to say, CNN fired Rick Sanchez.

But all of that happened on Friday when the Daily Show does not tape. Last night, Jon Stewart finally had the opportunity to air his response:
