So, a group of Palestinian protesters marching against Israeli occupation dressed up as Na’vi, the alien race from James Cameron’s popular World of Warcraft expansion pack, The Avatars. My only question is: WHAT? The Israeli-Palestinian conflict already seemed complicated and confusing enough to me as it was, when people were just people, and not LARPers on their way to Comi-Con. What is next, Furries sticking their tails into tank guns? This guy knows what I’m talking about. We live in a world that is spinning wildly out of control.

Rap is an American cultural invention, but in its incredible popularity it has been co-opted and adopted by cultures around the world. Latin rap, of course, has taken on a life of its own and returned to America on its own terms, but there’s all kinds of foreign rap, including French rap, and Italian rap, Chinese rap, and the absolute worst: German rap. Have you ever heard German rap? Yuck. Go to the doctor, your ears fell off.
