Well, I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been a rough week. Aaron Paul got engaged and we can no longer marry him. Even though some of us may have been exactly right for him, if only he could have just met us one time and one of us agreed to change who we were for the other person. Although this did ruin the entire week — who knows HOW many weeks in the future it’s going to ruin, as well — there were some bright spots. Like remember when Jason Segel took that girl on a date? In an interview with GQ magazine, Mark Wahlberg provides humanity with a sliver of hope in this MISERABLE WASTELAND OF ENDLESS TERROR.

GQ: Two HBO shows you’ve produced—Entourage and How to Make It in America—ended recently. We know Entourage is over but is there a future for How to Make It in America?
Mark Wahlberg: Well, the wheels are always turning and we’ve talked to the networks and we may pair it up with another network. You know, you can only have so many shows on the air [at HBO], but we’re talking about putting it elsewhere. One of the great things is also that we have a couple of things that are really geared toward guys that we’ve been developing that [HBO] feels are really close to going.

Ben and Cam get coffee at Grumpy coffee and walk around the Lower East Side wearing their new line of Crisp jeans. Someone says “Yo, are those Crisp jeans?” and Ben and Cam fist bump each other. It’s pretty sad hearing over text on their iPhone 4s’s about how Kappo keeps getting raped in prison, but life is still pretty sweet. Gadzooks called this morning and they want another 2,500 hoodies. Ben and Cam wonder if maybe they should go to Torisi Italian Specialities for dinner to celebrate. Have you heard of it? Ben and Cam decide they’ll just go to La Esquina instead. It’s, like, their favorite place. Carnitas tacos are out of this world, bro. Ben and Cam split up and agree to meet at La Esquina later. Will they meet later? Will Crisp succeed? They do end up meeting later. It’s a success! Everyone gets free tacos and horchata at La Esquina and Amanda Seyfried is there and agrees to be in the new Crisp look book. “Is Amanda Seyfried really Crisp material?” Cue a song by Azaelia Banks.

As you may have heard, HBO canceled Bored To Death, Hung, and How To Make It In America. They renewed Enlightened, which I watched one time, and it was bad. R.I.P. Gabe’s chances of ever having a HTMIIA cameo. It’s a sad day for all of us. -Deadline

So, it’s finally time for us to talk about the elephant in the room: last night’s season 2 finale of How To Make It In America! What was Rachel going to do now that she’s been fired from Biscuit magazine? Could she maybe publish her article about the t-shirt designer guy in Bushwick who makes his own pickles somewhere else, like Grantland or something? Would Renee finally get the New York Caribbean League off of his back for long enough to sell his rasta-themed energy drink to a skate park in Connecticut? Most importantly, WOULD Ben and Cam sell the Crisp name to Nancy’s eccentric, cuckolded Israeli husband Yosi to turn into the new Ed Hardy Boyz? What about their Gadzooks order? And what would all of this mean not only for their friendship, but would the WORLD OF HOODIES ever be the same?! (There are also the plotlines of Kappo and Domingo, but no one cares about those plotlines because as dumb as all of the plotlines are those are somehow the most dumb? Good luck in jail for 10 days, Kappo. Keep walking those dogs, Domingo.) There’s a lot to unpack here, so let’s just spray some weed mist in our mouths, pour a tall glass of homemade kamboucha, put on our best Japanese cotton and/or denim, load a song that just came out two hours ago on Spotify, and get to it.

BOOOOOOO! Boo! Ghosts! Ahh! Boo! Were you scared just now? That was a pretty scary succession of words I just typed so if you were scared you should NOT be ashamed. Anyway, it’s the end of the week, which means it’s time for a million GIFs! Yay! And this week it also means that it’s time for a million Halloween things that you may or may not enjoy doing! Can We Talk About How To Make It In America For A Second?

Guys, can we talk about HBO’s How To Make It In America for a second? I think it might be the most incredible show of our time. Interpret the word “incredible” as you will. I didn’t watch the first season because back then Entourage was still on the air, so if I wanted to hate-watch something I could just hate-watch that. And also it basically IS Entourage but about jeans? One Entourage at a time, please. But Entourage is dead now (at least until that movie comes out about Ari Gold being the CEO of GloboChem) so the hate docket has an opening, and How To Make It In America fits perfectly. I’ve watched the first two episodes of the second season, so it’s time for us to talk about it! (Right On Time Gum.) It’s not even that I hate it. It’s so much more complicated than that. How To Make It In America contains multitudes! First, let’s talk about the positives: it has a very good opening credits sequence–as do all HBO shows, incidentally, which is a thing you should write a paper on for your college–that makes New York look so fun and cool, just like the New York we all wanted to move to before we all did move here (and congrats to ALL of us on living here, by the way, and it’s so crazy that not a single person reads this website who doesn’t live in New York, but whatever, who needs them, just kidding). And all of the actors are perfectly fine in it. They say their lines and everything. But if Entourage was a wish-fulfillment show with zero stakes, and How To Make It In America follows the Entourage model, then I have a few questions about what you guys are all wishing for and some exciting news about the discovery of NEGATIVE ZERO REVERSE STAKES!

Woof. I read in Variety (I did not read in Variety) that the tentative title for this show was Your Show, until they figure out a better name for it, like Barf Town: Population Assholes. Seriously, everything about this looks like it was taken from a science textbook about Things That Are Objectively The Worst. From Craigslist:
