Huh? I don’t know! Although I will say this: whoever made this video deserves to date whoever they want. As long as they don’t murder and eat them afterward! I also appreciate that they used as broad of a definition of “President” as possible to also include Prime Ministers, Secretaries of State, egomaniacal dictators, and Popes. In this modern day of blurry gender roles and self-determined sexuality, it’s important not to impose our value judgments on president-sexuals. They want the same things we want: love, security, and to be dating someone that respects them for who they are while simultaneously being either a President, or very close to a President, depending on a country’s chosen (or imposed) form of government. Preferably one with a big MANDATE! (No politico.)

The Best Of Amy Poehler On Weekend Update

This past weekend’s SNL was “The Best Of Amy Poehler,” and it was soooo good. I almost didn’t watch it because, you know, rerun, but I was curious about how Amy’s manic, childlike characters had stood the test of time, and the answer was almost too well. I guess all “Best Of” SNL episodes feel like this if the actor has left the show, but something about it had this almost obituary quality, like not like she’s gone, but like Amy’s grown up now and has put aside childish things. Which is crazy, because we’re only two episodes into Parks And Recreation, and what is she going to do, her Dakota Fanning impression? Anyway, I thought the best part of the show was this highlight reel of the best of Amy on Weekend Update, both because it was hilarious (and sad at the end), and because on a total girl level, her hair changed so much from show to show!

So somebody should tell that to the owner of upstate clothier Forever Leather, whose late-night infomercial turned into a full-on tirade against Hillary Clinton and Eliot “poppin’ chicks like bonbons” Spitzer. Mike Gravel Is Killing Me Softly With His Song

For awhile I thought Mike Gravel was kind of great. He was just so grumpy. We could use some grumps in Washington instead of all these Vaseline Teeth. And his avant garde campaign videos, while insane, were insane in a lovable, amazing way. He was like the Timothy Treadwell of the 2008 election. But this? This is just nuts:

Wait, he’s still running for President? Shouldn’t someone tell him? Also, can this please be the last time that we make an old white person “rap” as a “joke.” It’s simply the worst thing. I’ve talked about a lot of worst things before, but those were all the best thing compared to the old white person rapping thing, which is genuinely the worst. It makes my heart die a little bit, and I don’t have the smarts to make a miniaturized arc reactor to power my sweatsuit.

“Hello, I’m Tom Hanks, and I want Barack Obama to be the next president of our country. I wanted to stand in my typewriter room, and share with you my views on this election season. That’s right, I have a room in my house just for typewriters. That’s all that’s in there. Of the various collections I keep, typewriters is probably my least favorite, and yet I have dedicated an entire room, the size of many homes, to their storage and display. I’m a multi-millionaire, and an actor who does not offend the middle class ethos of our conservative society. I can make fun of myself by admitting that perhaps celebrity endorsements aren’t the most valuable voice in the political debate because I can afford to make fun of myself. I’m a fucking millionaire.
