You guys, we have a lot of fun at Videogum. (Right? RIGHT!) Mostly, the fun is relatively benign and/or silly. But sometimes that fun comes at the expense of other people. Now, those people are almost exclusively multi-millionaire living nightmares who’ve completely lost touch with the human experience and abandoned any attempt to keep perspective on their ballooning egos and senses of entitlement. But they are still human beings, no matter how hard they try to make us forget that. Sometimes the fun we have comes at the expense of “civilians” who have made the modern but fateful mistake to post a video of themselves on YouTube doing something they should not have posted a video of themselves on YouTube doing. With these people, one likes to imagine that they are simply cyphers for our collective anxieties about the ever-deteriorating state of privacy in the information age, and that if we make fun of a man dancing to jungle music in a Sailor Moon diaper, it is not so much the man himself as what he represents. And yet we must also be aware of the fact that he is a human being, and even if he is opening himself up to these kinds of jokes, perhaps he did not realize what the result of his attempts at self-expression would be, and how the anonymous reaction of Internet strangers would make him feel. We should all be so lucky as to find something that makes us happy in this world, but of course the truly lucky will never hear what other people think about their discovery.

My point is that we ARE having fun, and jokes are jokes, and it’s always important to remember that there are literally one million more important things happening in the world than almost anything we talk about here ever, and these guys DEFINITELY know what I’m talking about. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t occasionally worthwhile to take a moment and remind ourselves of all of that.

So, please allow me to introduce the Videogum Reset Button.
3. Marshmallow Soft Fleece is a type of fleece
4. Hoodie pajamas with zip-on slippers made for adults are “hot”
5. Footed PJs for women are all the rage
6. Other footed PJs do not keep your toes nice and warm. It is just for the style, I guess?
7. Adult women would like to wear the pajamas they wore as children
8. People think it is OK to use the word “temp” instead of “temperature” when it is actually not OK at all
9. Getting around is a hassle
10. People have been having trouble drinking tea in more traditional hoodies, blankets, and pajama combinations

The more you know! Bom-bom-banh-bom! (Thanks for the tip, Andrew.)

Nothing says I’m a piece of shit who can’t deal with even the most mundane of day-to-day adult responsibility like a pair of jeans that are secretly fucking pajamas. God damn it, these pants make me so ANGRY. I love comfort and breathability as much as the next person who loves comfort and breathability very much, but can we not pretend like wearing jeans is akin to binding feet on the pain-for-fashion-scale. Even if you are wearing regular ($50-$100) jeans in your day-to-day life, you are already CUTTING CORNERS AS A GROWN UP. (And don’t even get me started on sweatpants in public. And no, the problem is not, as the Pajama Jeans infomercial suggests, just that sweatpants get too wrinkled from doing errands.) No big deal. People who don’t live in houndstooth houses shouldn’t throw whatever. It’s not like I’m wearing a three-piece suit to Head Blog Quarters every day, but come on. There is a reason that it is socially unacceptable to wear pajamas all day long: because GROW UP. The fact that you have to camouflage your pajamas should tell you that you are DOING SOMETHING WRONG.

“They look like they were made by some European designer.” This ad should kill itself. (Thanks for the tip, Drew.)

There are two new movie trailers that have popped up over the past couple of weeks and I’m having a really hard time deciding which of them is worse. On the one hand, you have the trailer for Grown Ups, which is basically Old Dogs 2: Dry Cold American Summer. Isn’t it great watching Rob Schneider, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Kevin James (wait, where did he come from?) back together on the same screen now that they are all millionaires? Neatttttt! Look out for that tree, you lazy millionaire! But then on the other hand, there is the trailer for Jackie Chan’s The Spy Next Door, which is basically The Tuxedo meets Mrs. Doubtfire? Can two terrible movies make the worst movie? Apparently!

Both trailers after the jump. Bet you can’t pick just one! To be the worst of the two! Because of how bad both of them are! It is our generation’s Sophie’s Choice!
