HOLY SHIT, this episode of Grey’s Anatomy was AWESOME! And it wasn’t even because everyone peeled their clothes off in a feverish daze and conjoined in a festival of carnality like the bloody orgy scene in the Sam Neill space epic Event Horizon or anything. This episode was HELLA suspenseful, with 80 percent more thunder, and MURDER. OK, so that last bit is maybe not that impressive since at this point, these scrub-clad screw-ups should be forced to paint spirals on their faces and call themselves Jigsaw because they like to make the death so much. Or at least hold a sickle with a bell around their neck so we know they’re coming.

In this installment the Mercy West n00bs invade the hallowed halls of Seattle Grace and wreak havoc unto the good people we know and love, and others that we, with crossed fingers and clenched assholes, HOPE will get excised and replaced with new meat.

The baddies are in orange and Seattle Gracers in blue because they’ve run out of the blue scrubs and because there aren’t a TRILLION pairs of them in a hospital at any given time. We also need it to be Orange vs Blue because they MUST keep it binary on the HALO delineation-tip so we don’t really have to pay attention during this despicable-filler-until-Heigl-gets-shitcanned episode.

Remember when Meredith Grey was a boozy slut? I thought it was refreshing when a super-mainstream show had a super-smart protagonist who coped with a deranged mother by getting faced and catching Strange all the time. Like it was her job. I mean, obviously it was a medical show so there was all sorts of very dramatic things happening but you couldn’t even see the main chick’s face most of the time it was so covered by lonely-lady dirty hair. Meredith Grey looked like she’d smell faintly of pee.

Anyway, I miss that.

Grey’s Anatomy S06E02: No One Left To Kill, Nothing Left To Do

With George particles only just drying in the little nubbins of space between the little nubbins of asphalt at the bus stop in front of Seattle Grace, this episode, entitled “I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me” is not, as we’d hoped, the show’s turn at merging Seattle Grace not only with Mercy West but also a little place that you and I know as “heaven.” In a monumental lack of imagination, O’Malley does not get his Lovely Bones on and the episode’s exceedingly misleading title with its portent of awesome does not deliver. Seriously, we don’t even get a Rockwell Gordy cameo. Garbage.

Grey’s Anatomy: McDreamy Is Topless A Lot. And George Dies.

In this, the two hour premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, season six, we open fully in mid-throttle from last season’s abusive cliffhanger where the Road Kill Bus Guy reveals his identity as “007″, aka Dr. George O’Malley, aka T.R. McHomo Pants Knight (who we all know is pulling the sickest David Caruso in thinking there’s life after NYPD Blue but whatever), and Dr. Izzie Stevens codes from a heart complication right after regaining her memory from neurosurgery to remove a tumor. *Pant* So anyways, things are just as batshit crazy and hella poignant as we left ‘em with incredibly high stakes that require us to vigilantly suspend that 4th wall of disbelief as hard as we can and the voiceover is telling us about the Kübler-Ross stages of grief so we know it’s going to be a really successful Grey’s Anatomy in the sense that we’ll get our ugly cry on.

Let’s go.

Grey’s Anatomy Sneak Peek Is Mostly McBoringy

Wondering what the Seattle Grace surgeons have been up to? As this odd little sneak peek (was the sound unfinished? And why this clip?) shows, more of the same “I want to operate on the grossest trauma patients” disconcerting surgical resident one-upsmanship that’s been the show’s bread and butter for the past three years, and probably also long improbable relationship conversations that culminate in panties being thrown in the hazardous waste bucket. I never thought I’d say this, but I think I’d be more likely to want to watch the show if this teaser showed one of Meredith’s sad-thought montages, and I hate (-watch) those montages:

Though I think we should all find a reason to yell “intestines in the hand! intestines in the hand!” at least once this week, preferably while cooking, because clearly they want it to catch on.
