I realize this is a reductive, angry, selfish statement, but as someone who grew up in Queens, spent summers in Brooklyn, and knows people whose friends and relatives died in the 9/11 attacks: stop talking about my city like it’s fragile and you need to swoop in and protect it from brown people, you stupid fucking Republican assholes from nowhere.
