As a citizen of Omaha, I am proud to add this to the list of great things to come out of our city.

1) Dancing Pumpkin Guy
2) This
3) Woman using a lawn mower to pull her wheel chair

Fuck. Where was this advice two days ago?

+4Posted on Jun 22nd, 2011 | re: A Delta Employee Maybe Peed On This Guy's Luggage (47 comments)

I was on a plane this weekend and the steward made a guy sitting a few rows in front of me put his laptop in the overhead bin for take off and landing. He was told he couldn’t just hold onto it or put it on the floor.

The lady next to me had a baby on her lap. A Baby! She was allowed to just hold that kid.

The guy’s laptop was a MacBook Pro though, so maybe my point is moot.

My new complaint about Videogum is that we can’t upvote Gabe’s Ed Note. Fucking Epic!

If she does run, I’m totally going to vote for her. Only because I really want to see the ridiculous advances in robotics that would be required for a Sarah Palin addition to the Disney Hall of Presidents.

I mean really, he ONLY is asking for $20,000 to $40,000. “In this economy” that is a fantastic deal.

This is some serious Twin Peaks shit.

This is another example of things that I find great about this site:

I hadn’t heard about the that new DC move and although I honestly won’t really give any more thought other than “hmm”, you brought it up in a smart way that could actually spark a side discussion.

Gabe, I think you do a wonderful job as head writer and Monsters I think you do a wonderful job as commenters. Kelly I am excited to see what more comes from you. Great start! I second a lot of opinions stated already, but overall I just wanted to say that I find the atmosphere of this site is wonderful.

I think it is a real testament to the sense of community here that comments rarely show up over on stereogum posts. There is a direct and static link to the sister site up top and yet the two couldn’t be more different.

I hope nobody gets hurt feelings from this thread and the site does improve and grow.

One handy feature that I have seen used on other sites is a dialog box that alerts you if a post has been made while you are typing your own post. This could possibly alleviate a lot of the double posts and subsequent comments. An edit button could be helpful as well as/or a preview button. Those are all things typically reserved for message boards rather than comments, but perhaps it could work on here as well.

Keep up the good work everybody.

Dan

I live in Omaha and there was an article in the local paper about Buffett being on the finale of the Office.
This is a quote from that artice:

“Buffett’s daughter, Susan, said a friend, Michael Kives of Creative Artists Agency, came up with the idea during Thanksgiving dinner at her Omaha home, leading to the February taping in California. ‘It was funny,’ she said.”

“It was Funny”!

Am I the only one who finds these videos incredibly relaxing? Michael Caine’s voice is so great.

Jim has been fairly absent in the last two episodes of The Office. I’m cool with it.

I was somewhat bummed they ruined this joke by including it in every preview for this week’s shows. It had me cracking up in advance, but it lost something by the episode.

His pre-Community cameo on 30-rock’s Kidney Now is priceless by the way.

I think it was an insult. Jack also made Jonathan speak with that terrible Indian accent. I think they were both burns to that terrible show.

I don’t know…I felt like that whole thing was a huge burn. Community is great at the subtle burns

Community amazes me with it’s ability to be topical.
