Groupthink: The VGum way.

I misunderestimated your freedom of opinion reference, perhaps my entire post above is incorrect. I’d be willing to accept that. But I will stand by calling you right now a hypocritical self-important jerkface who only holds opinions that you think the people around you will laud you for holding. It’s that sort of insecurity that leads you to call people who disagree with you “refuckingtarded”. I’m not calling you names because I disagree with you, I’m calling you names because you’re a hypocritical self-important jerkface who only holds opinions that you think the people around you will laud you for holding. And animal collective is a shitty band that makes noise, not music.

“Re-fucking-tarded”
You’re right, I’m a mentally handicapped person because I disagree with you. Who are the insensitive bigots again? I’m losing track.

Your argument in summary:
1) CPAC bad for letting Ryan Sorba talk
2) CPAC bad for blocking “freedom of opinion*” by booing Ryan Sorba
***
Cognitive dissonance at its best.
So I may infer:
in regards to 1), CPAC should have blocked Ryan Sorba’s “freedom of opinion*” because its a bad opinion.
in regards to 2), CPAC shouldn’t have booed Ryan Sorba’s bad opinion because that would be blocking his “freedom of opinion*”

Ryan Sorba was invited to speak on one subject at a private function (freedom of expression as put forward in the First Amendment applies to government actions only, private functions aren’t regulated, thank god or VGum would be a mess) and instead he talked about another one, and antagonized his audience. So they booed him. So he voluntarily left. No one forced him to go. But CPAC (who invited GOProud to be there, and some of whom booed Ryan Sorba) are the assholes here. Thanks for your thoughts.

*what the hell is “freedom of opinion”? Let’s pretend you meant “freedom of expression”.

It’s pretty awesome that a group as conservative as CPAC booed this guy off the stage. Freedom of speech be damned, he was invited to speak at private function on one subject and ranted incoherently instead.

Even if those boos aren’t representative of CPAC as a whole, at least those people are there.

I take it you had homophobia. Always part of a balanced breakfast.

When you don’t get the joke, you don’t get the joke. Your post is an unnecessary exercise in self-satisfied pontification. Do me a favor and close the door the next time you crack out the KY. It’s gross.
