It’s funny that JJ Abrams is producing Brad Bird’s next movie considering that Super 8 was in a some ways just The Iron Giant minus the cartoons.
I saw the MI4 trailer in 3D yesterday when I went to see Transformers (yep.) and while that building-climbing bit looked great in 3D (yep.), I couldn’t help but feel that Ethan Hunt is still the K-Mart James Bond.
Like, can we just get more James Bond plz?
Sooo nobody else is a little weirded out that they’re making a comedy out of someone getting a suicide vest strapped to themselves and being forced to commit a federal crime?

Is it really “ripping off” something that basically started the genre in the first place? When do you stop ripping off a series (that is really only loosely a series) that started 42 years ago and start ripping off other stuff?

Wait, how did they dumb down The Hangover? It already had a spectacularly dumb premise and a cast of comedians known for playing dumb characters.
I really like this movie, but that Sixpence None the Richer comparison is pretty spot-on.
Also, how the hell did A History of Violence get on the list?
Not to knock anyone’s taste in movies but if that movie is one of the worst movies you’ve ever seen, then you have only ever seen excellent movies.
