You have no idea how many facebook statuses I’ve had to give a furrowed angry look at because they were all like “so and so thought Transformers was SICK!!!!!!!!!” It was SICK!!!!!!!!!! (!) And these are 16/17/18 year old’s who take take shit like multivaribale ergo ethno philoso rocket calculus. And they’ll probably be president of something semi-relevant some day, and I can only find solace in knowing that that day isn’t today.

I’m really trying to wrap my my head around this one. I got it. Micheal Bay is secretly a terminally ill 7th grader and the folks at the make a wish foundation bawwwwwwed so much that they allowed him to make movies. It’s either that or modern cinema is run by those kids in elementary school who tried to compete over who can say the word boob the loudest without getting in trouble. Or it’s both. Honestly, I’m not sure.

To be fair Lord Xenu is much more exciting than Jesus Christ. Carpenter? Weak. Fucking aliens? Badass.

And I now have to once again lower my standards for modern society. It’s gotta reach rock bottom some time soon, right?

I would just like to personally thank Micheal Bay for sufficiently raping my childhood.

You know it’s indie when they don’t even pull from the huge bank of well-established electro/dance songs and instead go with some random unknown myspace band.

Yeah……….basically this movie isn’t really going to cause any sort of societal paradigm shift because it’s a comedy intended for laughs and laughs don’t really inspire change in any sort of norms. Will it reinforce disdain for homopobia? Yes. Will it reinforce homophobia? Unfortunately yes. But that’s how the world is and there isn’t really anything you can do about it. If anything it all it will bring the issue of gay rights a little more to the forefront of politics, which is a good thing so I think that the positives of the joke-getters will outweigh the negatives of the non-joke getters. And it looks hilarious which is also good.
