The part that made me most uncomfortable about reading this (and a lot of it made me uncomfortable) was the way that Glenn, Rob and Charlie getting picked up for the show while she wasn’t echoed the whole “Sweet Dee is the only member of the gang who is not part owner of the bar” storyline of the series. That aspect of the plot always seemed completely arbitrary and weird to me, especially since the gender power struggle of the gang is present in so many other obvious ways, but with this backstory it’s especially unfortunate. Yuck, gang.
