Only, I’m not sure it wasn’t the reaction expected… But I agree, the homophobia also seemed more in the audience than in the movie for me last night.
Also, please explain to me why it is funny that a guy has sex with a prostitute the day before his wedding?
Unfortunately, too great for me to leave and start doing something i’m proud of
As somebody who works in IT, I have something to say here.
As far as i’m concerned, in real life people talking about video games all the time is NOT funny.
People (GEEKS) who spend their lives on starcraft or world of warcraft are NOT funny.
And most of all, working (living 9 hours per day) surrounded by these people is NOT funny AT ALL.
It’s just HELL.
Sorry, but writing from a country where guns aren’t sold to almost anybody, I don’t agree with the fact that no one is to blame for that. Sure, madness and crazyness happen sometimes and there isn’t much to do about it… But at least don’t give it a gun…
My hope in humanity makes me believe that this thing that i’ve just seen happened just out of bare stupidity without any cynicism or self-consciousness.
Or else, please, please burn in hell next year humanity.
and so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past
Bad aspect of being a french videogum reader with low skills in spoken/written english:
I can’t understand half of pop/cultural/political/whatever references here.

I have no fucking idea of who this justin biebers is… And I can get all the cats related threads…
well we own the night was great wasn’t it?
I liked the ending too. Not that I, or anybody, really needed it to wonder if it was still a dream or reality (it was obvious from very early in the film that we would end up wondering it) but it made the movie complete.
I “wooh”ed at it, not out of surprise but because it was just what it was supposed to be, giving us enough space to think about how awesome were the 2.30 hours which led us to it.
Also DiCaprio and Ellen Page (who really looks like my girlfriend and who is pretty) were perfect.

I like you videogum, really i do, but if in real life, every single word you say would be over analyzed that way, it would be hell.
In gervais’s post where some might see pretention or i don’t know what, i just see enthusiasm.
(Sorry for my english, i’m just trying)
