Wonder Showzen said Puke His Pants in the early 00s. Videogum made ‘puke his pants’ jump the shark.

if you watched the Tom Brokaw interview to, Jimmy and Tom had this exchange.
Jimmy: “i can ride my hog all the way from maryland to california, hehe”
Tom (mockingish):”ride your hog.”
Jimmy:”… like a motorcycle…”

why am i talking about that and not about Joe Pescapo??? Tim’s hair ftw. (they also did an interview awhile ago- equally brilliant- on Spike Ferestein which is on Fox, where they promoted mini money to save money)

I remember a similar story about Jerry O’Connell after filming Joe’s Apartment.

as an advocate for Will Forte singing: Jon Bovi… also this was the worst show they did in a while. The world had two of the best episodes of two of the most best shows last night in Tim&Eric, and in Xavier Renegade Angel… please cover those more and not sketches about High School Musical

Chris Jericho wheres shorts now? Thats cool. Remember when he was Lionheart— anybody, anybody?

how can you like Like A Boss, which was such a standard joke gradually becoming weirder cuz its funny to put into song, and not like the insanity of easter album? Like a Boss was dumb because it seriously is their same old shit, while Easter Album was crazy and just well constructed in its ‘what the fuck’-ery… Easter Album was the best sketch. The fact that you even mention it, you are admitting there is something here, and that something is the best sketch they did all night (it took about a horse hoof size of pot)

wait til you come across Pastor Greg, and a lot of the Carman stuff— also Cornerstone TV at ctvn.org…… again there is a huge iceberg of christians knowing whats best for idiots line that I have been following… stay the course.

+10Posted on Mar 30th, 2009 | re: Praise Band: The Movie (42 comments)

GUYS— oh my oh guys—- I’ve been following this since its announcement. The writer for this movie has this God awful (pun) Christian Sitcome, which he bills as the first christian sitcom… and just everything about this show, called Pastor Greg, is the best- the acting, the incongruency of sets, wind being more audible, the laugh track, the fact that it exists— I have many the episodes on DVD and there is so so much much much more about Greg Robbins productions—- this is an inceberg tip…. it gets deeper and shithouse-ier.

This was a serious post.

“Thats not a motto, thats just you saying things”

+5Posted on Mar 16th, 2009 | re: SNL Just The Funny Parts: Tracy Morgan Yells (43 comments)

Hader even saved the Suppressex Skit by nailing the tone for that creepy Santa— could’ve been completely dumb, but Hader brought you there….. also worth mentioning: Tracy’s good-bye: “I’d like to thank everyone in the audience who is pregnant”

Ellen Cleghorn, you are on the clock.

it would Tyler Perry’s Good BBQ or Tyler Perry’s Good BBQ at a Wedding.

+8Posted on Mar 10th, 2009 | re: Role Models Is Out On DVD Today (22 comments)

AD Miles was absolutely brilliant in this movie…. we also get to see MARINO AND KKS PLAY A MARRIED COUPLE! There’s your sell to comedy nerds…. also Bobbe J Thompson is Tracy Morgan-esque here…. even Stifler and McLovin (pff real names) hold their own… totally bought it already.

+2Posted on Mar 9th, 2009 | re: SNL Just The Funny Parts: The Rock Obama (32 comments)

totally agree- Andy has too much of a smirk and a “I get the joke” demeanor to his acting, but America needs that… they need the goofy kid to show that this TV is safe and that this show isn’t smarter than them… like when we were 13 and Adam Sandler was funny on SNL– he really wasn’t, he was safe.

+2Posted on Mar 9th, 2009 | re: The Videogum Movie Club: Watchmen (98 comments)

the overall trigger happy violence ruined it for me… it messed with the characters intent from the original story (they didnt fight anyone in prison)… everything was completely Hollywoodizizizied. But, duh, I knew that going in. So i didn’t hate the movie, for the fact there was some of my favorite book scenes done with the same spirit as the book- that was great… but hell, that really wasn’t the Watchmen with that ending… its movies riiiiight.

+2Posted on Mar 9th, 2009 | re: SNL Just The Funny Parts: The Rock Obama (32 comments)

its pretty inexcusable not to have Jon Bovi on here, easily one of the bigger chances took on SNL in awhile and totally paid off… anytime Forte sings really is amazing.

The structure lends itself to boredom is basically saying “i’m not giving the attention it demands”— it is a tough structure, but going into this movie, you have to totally trust the filmmaker and take that step with him. This was an experimental idea, and Waino lends so many different emotions and different styles come out in it and that is a very challenging comedy to take in. And once you accept that, and keep the high level the movie deserves- it is the most rewarding and funny movie Wain Drain has done. We should demand, as purveyors of comedy, to be challenged by it and to raise our level of what we think is funny… you/everyone should watch this movie again— you owe yourself that much because this structure lends itself to and deserves repeated viewings
