See, I get why people shouldn’t call other people faggots, because homos aren’t doing anything wrong. But I don’t see it with retard.

For example:
After a friend makes a statement which demonstrates less-than-average critical thinking skills.

Me: “That was retarded.”
Him: “You mean I acted with the same poor critical reasoning skills of someone whose brain formed incorrectly and therefore, sadly, has limited cognitive abilities?”
Me: “Exactly, retard.”

I for one love it when the circlejerk that is videogum commenters eat themselves alive over some non-issue and Gabe is forced to lay out his bullshit “this blog isn’t very important so what I post on it doesn’t really matter anyway” defense.

I don’t want analysis, I want funny.

If the only jokes you make every single day are ironic examples of bad jokes that other people could tell, at some point you just aren’t funny.

You probably passed over the subtle, refined humor, but Gabe took the word “justice” and added jerk in there, so it says “jerkstice.” Like those justices, are jerks. But with one word.

I know, right? Comedy Gold!

But then, awkwardly fitting the word jerk into the names of the justices he vaguely dislikes.. GENIUS!

We’re gonna need a bigger – *blows brains out*

These are not jokes.

The thing everyone keeps dancing around is that Conan shouldn?t really need any time to develop and audience this time. Conan is not a newcomer in the late-night field. It would be one thing if we were talking about Jimmy Fallon, who was somewhat of a celebrity before taking over but both he and his audience were not used to him being a late-night host. It takes time to get used to making the show, get a sense of what the show will be about, etc. Conan has been doing this since the early 90s. Just because he moved up to Jay?s old spot doesn?t mean all bets are off. He is essentially doing the same show that he had for years and the public knows that. I understand that Jay Leno is the worst and Conan is much, much better, but can we stop pretending like we?ve got a problem with NBC?s business model and just come clean and say the problem is Jay Leno.

Alright, come on now. Homosexual teachers make up much less than 20% of the population of teachers, so to answer your question, homosexuals would be considered more dangerous if these bogus statistics were true.

Fortunately, those statistics aren’t true. That said, if us pro-gay rights people are going to be condescending about this issue, let’s at least do it the right way!

What the hell are you talking about? This is on the Lebron James soundtrack for god’s sake! Everyone is talking about how awesome and successful they are (what rappers are supposed to do) while he’s referencing his overdoses and how he’s going to eat my face? Too fast, too angry, and obviously forced to try and make this 09′s swagga like us.

You’re really trying to have it both ways here, Gabe. Gay people not having equal rights is disgusting, but a mainstream show integrating gay characters into everyday life with a child is trying too hard? If you’re NOT advocating for a sitcom that goes the extra activist mile and makes big bold political points than you don’t bitch about the show’s politics either.
