Sheesh. I made a list about a year ago on IMDB called “the most entertaining movies ever” which was based on re-watchability and not on pretentious film school reasons. Check it out if you want. Or don’t, SEE IF I CARE!
Diving Bell and the Butterfly was great but it isn’t something any normal person would want to watch multiple times. It is gut wrenching. How about watching something like “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” or “Dazed and Confused?” I’ve seen those hundreds of times and they remain fantastically entertaining.

I really don’t understand why SNL is taken seriously by all of these websites and podcasts in the first place. Aren’t all the episodes a little “off?” It’s just not that funny. And it never really was. Except when eddie murphy (back in the early to mid 80′s when he was really good before he flamed out) was involved or norm macdonald was doing the weekend update.
I think this whole article is completely off base and completely misses the point. And I think David Carr’s tweet was perfect.
