I agree with Gabe. I really can’t find it in me to care about Megan as much as the show would like me to. Though it could be because I keep comparing her to the other ladies on the show. Compared to Peggy’s pluckiness, Joan’s coolness, and even Betty’s cold-heartedness, Megan falls pretty flat personality-wise.
It was nice to have an episode without a dinner party. While they sometimes helped move the plot along, they were by-and-large a real snooze fest for me.
Thank you kindly, good sir.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Commenting fail! *runs away crying*
I almost feel guilty for laughing at the dude, because clearly this dance is something that brings him immense joy. And yet here I am, LOLing my life away…
Also, is it just me, or does this guy look like Gary Busey’s saccharine, always-wears-his-helmet-when-riding-his-bike (too soon?) twin?
Goofy Movie GIFs deserve all the upvotes. ALL OF THEM.
Brad’s sleepy, dead-behind-the-eyes gaze alone will book him all the commercials.
Bless his rhythmically-challenged heart.
Fast forward to 2:46. See the dude in the green capri pants and white belt? Is it just me, or does he have a tramp stamp?

Zima references are always good for a LOLk investment #neverforget
Dammit!
Is it okay if I send myself this card forged with Ryan Gosling’s signature? That’s a normal and mentally stable thing to do, right?
He may be as dumb as a rock, but he is very honest, and that is why he is my boyfriend.
Dammit Gary, it’s tank top off first THEN you shimmy out of your short shorts! And where the hell is your banana hammock?!?! At this rate, you’ll never get your solo dance at Chippendales!
Good to know your priorities are in the right order at the very least.
I shall yell this every time I enter a room.
Liar! Everyone knows mini-ponies live for the Golden Globes.
Don’t worry, even the cast was shocked they were nominated.
If I may put on my ranty pants (patent pending) for a moment…I’ve found it odd, if not really frustrating, how/why viewers find Jersey Shore so interesting to watch. Perhaps I fall in the minority in this, but I can’t bring myself to watch a show about a bunch of self-entitled, knuckle-dragging assholes getting drunk and pissy all the time. Sure, some people claim that they actually hate the characters and just watch to make fun of them. But at the end of the day, the ratings aren’t based on who does and doesn’t like them.
I guess the big question on my mind is: how can we complain about the rapid decline of TV when we continue to watch the shows that we attribute to this decline?
Alright folks, ranty pants (patent pending) off (TWSS?). I’m sure I’ll be cheerier later in the day; just wanted to get this out of my head.
Aww dang, too much 90s cuteness.
He ain’t the Ferris Beuller he used to be.
Don’t be hatin. How can you look at this face and NOT start panting?

(What I’m saying is, I think he’s equally as cute as JTT)

I liked this episode, as far as Betty’s story arc went. It did seem a bit out of character for Sally to let her mom’s spitefulness get the best of her (it’s also worried me that she was basically Betty Jr. and Mean-Girling Megan for not sharing her dad’s past).
The scene with Roger and his (soon-to-be?) ex was odd to me as well. On the one hand, I could understand how having sex with Roger would be a bad start to a “new” start. But it just seemed like two lonely, consenting adults getting busy. Unless that little pause where she said his name supposed to indicate that she didn’t want to get busy? That would explain the awkward exchange in the morning, as well as Roger’s admission of guilt…
I thought that little quip by Don to Ginsberg in the elevator was pretty great (I yelled “Someone get him a cold compress for that BURRRRN!” at my TV…). But now that you’ve pointed out the old vs. new going on in the episode, it seems more like an on-the-nose iteration of how the different generations view each other as a whole (does that make sense?).
In closing, more Joanie and Lane, less whatever the heck’s going on now.
