I really wanted to like this movie but it just felt like Cloverfield with less NYC and more Ohio and oh yeah, in 1979….

Okay, shameful confession time: I watched Sarah Palin’s Alaska last night (in lieu of studying for finals) and she made that joke multiple times and one of those times I thought to myself, “hmm she seems mildly self aware” and then I remembered this is Sarah Palin we (me and my brain) are talking about so no way that is possible

I really liked it! I’ve been having trouble articulating this but I kind of feel like I grew up with these books and movies and regardless of my age I’ve always felt like everything lines up, maturity-wise, you know?! (still having trouble, clearly). OVERALL: I like what they have done, but I probably would have liked it no matter what!
