That pug doing tricks was Hochiro from the first season of Portlandia, right?
Thank god he informed us that this was the unofficial video. I never would have guessed.
Dogs reuniting with owners (especially with soldiers, oh my god) make me cry every time, and I have no shame in admitting this. Because it is beautiful and sweet.
Also, a good friend of mine is legitimately afraid of cephalopods evolving/walking on land and taking over the world in our lifetime (she’s generally very intelligent) so I enjoyed sharing the octopus video with her this week.
Baby Holly. Obviously that baby is up to no good. Way too complacent.
does this mean i can watch all the tv i want until age 25 before it starts to affect my health?
oh god he’s doing that thing where you actually hurt yourself pretty badly but for some reason the mix of shock/adrenaline/pain causes you to burst into laughter instead of tears, but eventually as you laugh tears start rolling down your face and then everyone who just witnessed your terrible accident is even more baffled because you are laughing but also crying? and then you get even less help than you would if you had just burst into tears in the first place. surely myself and this random internet video kid are not the only ones?
If I married everyone who liked the same TV shows as me, I’d be married to a lot of people I really hate. Probably.
Point being, don’t marry people who could be your child EVEN IF they like “I Love Lucy.”
So over the past few months, I’ve started to realize that Gabe wants all of the glory without doing as much work. First Kelly (love your posts, Kelly!), and now Birdie. I’m onto you, Gabe.
I was unaware anyone else knew of that documentary! An exboyfriend of mine legitmately thought it would be a good present to give me (note: I have never owned, nor have I had the desire to own, a ferret).
the otter guys.

Am I the only person who thought it said “jamon” and was really excited for a post about Top Chef cooking ham? This is kind of a letdown.
Considering I went to an all-girls private school, my thought process would have been:
1. What? I missed a fre dress day? Now I look even more like a goon in this skirt.
2. Why are there boys here?
3. Why is that substitute teacher acting like us?
Everything is cuter when done slowly.
logged in JUST BECAUSE i am actually taking a class on the politics of James Bond so this is relevant to my life. I also sent it to my professor so maybe she will like me more. I feel like George Lazenby in that class sometimes.
i would like to traumatize a friend by showing her this, but i don’t want her to know i’ve watched it. eff.
12 Angry Managers.

I don’t know, it made me feel uncomfortable but I felt it was very true to the show/the era. Lane himself says that his role in the company is essentially useless, that Joan could be doing his job. Of course, Joan isn’t doing his job because she’s a woman, and still seen as a sexual object. Joan’s too smart for that shit though, you can tell because while she clearly is in no way enjoying the kiss, she doesn’t react negatively to it, she merely endures because to do otherwise would risk her job. Did I just go off on an unrelated tangent? Probably.
Also, we know that Lane is obviously very sexually frustrated within his marriage, and any sort kindness women show to him (Playboy bunny girlfriend, lost-wallet lady on the phone) is misconstrued as a mutual attraction. Lane is a very lonely guy. He messed up with Joan, but I think she’s too wise to let that get in the way of their work relationship. So yes, I didn’t like it, but it fits with the show very well and helped develop characters, etc.
