Hmmm, I quite liked Sound of my Voice. While the ending left something to be desired from a logical standpoint, I had a fun time getting there. (Admittedly, once you know the ending, there’s not much point to watching.) I think there’s just something very likable about Brit Marling, separate from how talented she may or may not be as a writer. Her performance, at least, I liked very much.

Thanks, Kate! :)

Guys, really? I know some pranks suck, but does this one really suck? Is it even a prank? This is a pretty elaborate dinosaur costume and if someone “bothered” me for five seconds with a cool dinosaur gag, it would give me a good laugh and a story to tell. These anti-prank rants are getting really boring. (I know I can read 100 other posts and just live my life, but Videogum is usually very receptive to feedback, and so.)

Hey, everybody! How’s everybody been? I don’t comment so much anymore but you’re all very lovely to read. I hardly have the time to check the site anymore; I’ve been so busy with work. I work for a small agency and the past few days I’ve been doing the editing and post-production on a video project about our company so far, and more specifically, my boss. It’s a motivational speech-y type video, but it’s a project I’ve been pretty psyched about and if any of you care to watch it, it would mean a lot to me. I’m in it, too, which is fun! :)

Alright, cool! Keep up the good work, everybody! The weekend is so soooooon.

Does anyone have a GIF of the Jill Kelley dramatization? That made me laugh heartily enough.

TBH, it’s a pretty cool bed?

Here are a couple photos from the set they built. People were allowed to walk through some of it when they weren’t actively filming.

Guys! That Warm Bodies movie filmed in the parking lot of my office building. They built a military compound for one week in the spring. The autumn before, they constructed a metro station in the empty lot across the street. There were dozens of extras in the streets and there was the sound of gunfire while we were working in the office haha.

I got to snooping around the set during lunch and after work sometimes, trying to stumble upon a celebrity. Most notably Dave Franco because UMMM have you ever seen Dave Franco? He is gorgeous. And so I thought I caught a glimpse of him, but couldn’t get a good view from any angle. So I went up the staircase on the side of the building and found a great spot. And then, all of a sudden, Dave Franco looked up and our eyes connected and I took this photo and we definitely got married and he’s here right now and it’s amazing isn’t it Dave.

I know I am not supposed to get angered by this because it’s ridiculous, but god damn it, I am angered by this. And saddened. And even though my brain says “don’t engage,” I have already started posting on their Facebook page. Sigh.

Ewww, guys, I worked from 9am – 9pm today. I just got home and of course it’s straight to Videogum. Hi guys! Happy Halloween! I’m going to catch up on the things I didn’t see all week because my job is impossible. But I’m going to enjoy the weekend more than this cat is going to enjoy this ravioli!

Wait, which park? I, for some reason, want to see this. I’ve lived in MTL my whole life and have never witnessed a Gag (capital G). :(

To me, this was the funniest bit The Office has had in a long time. “Jim was making some pretty good arguments, but Pam was like NO.”

Mitt Romney sounded like Miss America last night. I want world peace, too, numbnuts.

For the first 12 seconds, I could not believe there would be a segment called “Hot Dick!”.

 +17Posted on Oct 4th, 2012 | re: 2012 Presidential Debate Open Thread (100 comments)

So yes, Obama was very low-key and did not challenge Mitt on all the questionable and/or verifiably false things he said. However, Romney was throwing a lot of curveballs, departing from things he’s been spouting for months. I think it was smart of Obama to mostly keep quiet in this first round instead of risking the chance of putting his foot in his mouth. Now the fact-checkers can now go to work and Obama can potentially tear Mitt apart in the next two debates, quoting exact things Romney has said in the first. He can do this calmly and confidently. Or at least I hope.

The VoIP

Could we get recaps of Louie? I know the season is about to wrap up, but maybe in the future? I find that show to be consistently interesting and subversive to my expectations. I would like to talk about that with people who are more eloquent than I am.

Oh, cool! I ran into these ladies on a weekend trip to NYC. It was the last 3 or 4 days before the OWS protest was cleared out of the park. They were great then and they’re great now!
