Indeed! However, I must say I’m not sure who to root for now that the Blackhawks and my fave, Toews, are out. For you non-hockey fans, a part of that last sentence rhymed, try to find it!

I think the problem here, limesix, is that you are judging the whole thing having not read past the first book and only watching the first few movies. The first few movies were total crap! The actors had not yet learned how to act and they made changes to the books for the movies that were stupid and didn’t add anything. The movies are much better now. The actors are good and the movies are more focused now that they have a consistent director. The books are also much more complex than I think many people give them credit for. I think the great thing about the books is that they grow with kids. The books start of shorter and more simplistic and less scary and generally grow in complexity as time goes by. For me, it was perfect because I read the first books at a younger age and finished the series in college.

Will no one comment on the hotness of Dominic Cooper? Fine, I’ll say it. He’s pretty/I’d hit that.

Gabe, I am beginning to doubt your claim that you were a spry 40 when Led Zeppelin was in its prime due to your inability to spell Led Zeppelin. Step it up, son.

Thank you for pointing this out. The morning after pill prevents implantation of the embryo it does not interfere if the embryo has already been implanted so it works the same as the birth control pill and does not cause abortion. It bothers me when people act like it’s the same thing.

Monsters live in North Dakota too, TIMN. Freezing fucking cold monsters.

I watched that show! Not to the end though. The actor who played Kyle XY was absolutely masterful at giving the perfect slightly confused, yet blissfully happy smile whenever he encountered some new aspect of life he had never experienced before, like peeing his pants! That show was the best!

I stand by this:

I hereby nominate The Upside of Anger starring Joan Allen and Kevin Costner (2005). This film is ostensibly about a middle-aged woman whose husband leaves her and her four perfect yet quirky daughters (one of whom is Evan Rachel Wood and is nicknamed Popeye????) to be all depressed until she starts hanging out with Kevin Costner, the attractive alcoholic down the street. However, it is actually a depiction of the most outrageously selfish and self-absorbed mother in the entire world who the audience is somehow supposed to identify with and like. At the beginning, you think it is just your standard white people problems movie but then there is a twist of WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD at the end to finish it off right.

Kurt to Mercedes: You are fat and lonely. You should try to be less fat so you can get a man, k?
Mercedes to Kurt: Good point.

Really?!!!!

I could never watch Ender’s Game the movie. The staging of the battle scenes could not possibly live up to what is in my head (nerd alert).

There Coach Taylor goes again, making boys into MEN. I also love that Season 4 is partially “The Wire goes to Texas.” This show is very good at being a good show.

One time Jay Leno called Kathy Griffin, a guest on his show, ugly. The more you know.
