Darren Aronofsky is making a film of the Logo TV series Noah’s Arc? I can’t wait to see Russell Crowe playing an unobtrusively-attractive man of colo(u)r.

Where I live we are lucky to see people as covered up as PJs. Yesterday there was a sudden rainstorm and my husband and I witnessed our across-the-courtyard neighbor exiting his apartment to roll up the windows of his truck, shirtless, with a pair of cargo shorts literally falling off of his ass – we could see the bottom hem of his boxers – a belt half-hanging out, and BOOTS. Like big-ass rubber boots that you would wear if you were spending a lot of time cleaning sewers or swamps or something. I guess it was more important for him to keep his feet dry than to not run around looking like his girlfriend’s husband just walked in on them and bodily thrown him out while he was trying to compose himself.

Mostly though we just see people shopping in their PJs and doing anything they can with as little clothes on as possible. It might be sexy if I lived someplace like Brazil, rather than south Texas.

That’s exactly what I thought too! Wasn’t there a Seinfeld where Jerry got some of Kramer’s blood as a transfusion and was so mortified?

Crap, I always forget that this thread is where the monsters pimp their shows. Anyone going to be in Houston tomorrow night? Come to Rudyards and see my band Fiskadoro as well as two other severely rad acts. IT IS A FREE SHOW!!!!!

Also, Splice, how about that. For the record I thought that lawblog’s human/Mexican food DNA comment was the bestiest. And I am painfully aware that nobody will read this.

Even the Playmobil Hooky looks cooler playing bass than I do.

He looks good in that tux but it looks better on the floor.

I think the coolers are at the bottom of the river, containing the women who are clearly not welcome at this picnic.

That’s funny cause your screen name has “lol” in it.

heh. I used to work there! And EVERY one of my friends asked me if it was like being in Blade Runner.

I liked them although Shelly Duvall always scared the crap out of me. I don’t remember them very well, only that she was scary and it was one of the few shows my mom didn’t mind us watching (and I think we were actually too old for them at the time, but hey I watched Wishbone into my 30s)

I am sorry and beyond skeeved out that you had some asshole try to take an upskirt shot of you, and I am not going to take a stance on this VGum post one way or the other, except to say that the hundreds of photos and videos I have seen of soccer players with their wangs and globules hanging out of their shorts make me think that up-whatever shots are not entirely the provenance of women. Say what you will about how much guys definitely love chicks and the rest of the world looking at their junk, I have an otherwise-freaky husband who would object strongly to his private parts being made public without his knowledge/consent/blessing/financial rewards.

This is supposed to be a response to briadru4 but it won’t let me, but they are awesome and their avatars make me feel like I’m watching a newsreel from days of olde.

It’s funny how all the companies that kill themselves with the Superbowl commercials are ones that don’t even really HAVE to advertise. (Besides Man Crunch, of course, I at least had never heard of them before last year.) “Doritos!?? Never heard of ‘em! Thems gays sure seem to like them, I wonder where they get sold?”

Every time I’ve gotten a tattoo anyplace with even a tiny bit of hair, even if I’ve just shaved it, (they’re all on my arms, people) the first thing the guy does is shave the area with a little disposable Bic. I do not envy that tattoo artist. I hope he got a wax first or something because that seems like it would be difficult to draw on.

From “The Lineup”

“Who are the Monstars [sic], and how could they possibly make the Tazmanian Devil faint?”

You Monstars made the Tazmanian Devil faint by showing a suddent belated interest in Space Jam!

You guys, when’s this movie going to be made? Am I the only one old enough to remember?

and yes, I know that nobody is going to see this but I still had to log on to post it. Now if you’ll excuse me…

I am about one thousand years older than you guys, so when I was in Jr. high it was around the time that Freaks and Geeks is set. I was very much a Lindsey – the cool kids let me hang out with them and eventually begrudgingly realized that I too was cool, in spite of the fact that I made good grades. And I am pretty sure I owned that same ski jacket that Kim Kelly wears all the time. Kim Kelly FTW

One year Mr. Foxy’s and my Christmas card was just a picture of our then-kitten Bubbles high up in the as-yet-undecorated Christmas tree, biting one of the branches. I’m impressed that this cat got up there with all those ornaments intact.

I thought he said “fancy girl” at first, then I thought he said “funseekeeuur.” Which I believe is code for the same thing.

Hey, he’s an artist, did you see those paintings? That’s how he managed that exquisite cover design.

Is that kind of music normally playing on your iTunes?

I concur, his accent is definitely Afrikaaner, or else his speech impediment is.

I would have I would have! My best friend growing up is a ballerina and she dropped mad ballet knowledge on me (I too knew that was not first position, but wouldn’t have remembered which one it was). Dancing on my Grave was her favorite book for a while.
