Why does the door lock from the outside in? Why are they locking people IN rooms at the house of Haagen Dazs?

She doesn’t actually name the Communist in question…. so am I to believe there is some Marxist professor hiding in the rafters of the oval office?

Annie doesn’t seem that happy to be reporting this story. Notice that wince at the beginning.

I was surprised Viola Davis wasn’t the top one. Not because she was actually the most likely, but rather I thought no one would vote honestly. I am sorry, I underestimated you, Videogum community. I am sorry.

My favorite thing is he has friends over for salad but the salad is just one leaf! Haha so cute!

There’s Dane Cook talking to Marc Maron on WTF. It was a recommended video linking from the video you posted!

did any one peep the old dude in the beard during “no limits”. he clearly has never danced before. in fact i am almost certain he probably had never heard any of these songs until he learned the group was going to do an acapella Stars on 45 rehash for the YouTube generation.

So this villian that everyone fears and they spent seven movies building up how evil he is and he turns out to be a complete dum dum who hasn’t done his research?

The thing about Voldemort is the less you see him, the scarier he is, kinda like Jaws. People in my theatre we always laughing at him because of Ralph Fienne’s not-intended-to-be-funny-but-were-and-yet-are-still-pretty-good acting choices.

Anyone ever see that article about the use of blue and orange in movie posters? Those are usually the dominant colours in Hollywood movie posters. This slideshow of movie posters is NO DIFFERENT!

I don’t remember what commenter originally pitched this, but I am on board with it:

I nominate Vanilla Sky. It’s definitely one of those movies you see in high school and every thinks it is so brilliant because it has a twist ending and every one thinks the twist ending is so mind blowing and also back then nobody knew that twist endings are generally garbage.

But regardless, this is a film that has not gotten better with age, and also Tom Cruise probably thought he was doing some of his best acting work in this film but really he was just doing a really bad Al Pacino impression (late 90s Al Pacino acting, not 1970s Al Pacino acting).

Guys, we are living in a post-PC world. FYI.

ALSO: My android phone does ALL those things (except maybe video editing, i don’t know, i don’t know if there is or is not in fact an app for that) plus it plays flash and it fits in my pocket AND it makes phone calls

I don’t mean to be an android fanboy, i could really care less we’re all going to die very very soon…. I think the point is that if they create smooth looking advertising TELLING you that they made a keyboardless computer that is less powerful than a regular computer but maybe as powerful as a much smaller competing phone… and they say that it is a game-changer, then it must be true. If your own advertising admits to you being brilliant, you must be brilliant.

Chuck D said it right when he said don’t believe the hype. Was that Chuck D? Or Maya Angelou?

Did you watch that TED talk? She admitted that her career was frivolous and her success was surprising to even her, and that a lot of artists are self-involved and narcissistic. This seems self-aware but I don’t think it is self-aware in the way it should be.

ALSO: She said she has 40 more years of work left in her! Ay chihuahua!

YES. Please… please do Vanilla Sky. That movie is poop, and it was Cameron Crowe’s follow up to Almost Famous, which was actually a great film! WEIRD CHOICE BRA.

You gotta love a movie that uses up most of its post-climax falling action to explain why its big ending twist is so clever. I would also say add Shutter Island to the WMOAT pile for that very same reason. Ben Kingsly actually uses a CHART to explain to the audience why it was all a crazy twist ending! A CHART!!! I’m a big Scorcese fan but that I’m sorry, that is just inappropriate.

What with their universal acclaim and the fact that they are both melodramatic personality dissections of 21st century egomaniacal rich dudes, is it fair to say that the “The Social Network” is the “My Dark Twisted Fantasy” of movies?
