I am glad that there is something to fill the void that Rickrolling left, because i am tricking everyone i know into watching this. Repeatedly.

For someone trying to get the lowest rated comment for the upcoming ball, you are doing a BAD JOB.

I like the replayed scene of her getting yanked up into the air? As if God was up there all “Ugh i screwed up. Redo. Redo, you guys.” This song is pretty horrible and arrogant.

That being said, i would not turn her away from bed. We can’t all be internet celebrities, Gabe, living on mountains of money with only the most beautiful of women feeding us grapes.

I mostly like this new change. Comment discrepancies seem to be fixed, registering to comment probably will remove about half of the idiots (this is mostly a stereogum problem), and when you want to see someone’s user page right away, you just type in videogum/user/whatevernameitis instead of before how there were user numbers. And maybe also you’ve fixed the problem where signing in to one gum, signs you out of the other?

And no duh that there are bugs here and there, like with animated icons and image html. But we’ll be fine! The only bad thing about the new layout is how shitty web2.0 and bland the design is. It doesn’t POP yknow?

I need my websites to POP.

tl;dr – Mario Kart for 2012 Summer Olympics

+4Posted on Feb 19th, 2010 | re: 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games Open Thread (84 comments)

I don’t watch most of the olympics, because most of the olympic sports are boring. Half of them involve just one dude, who is competing against time more than anything else.
It’s like Mario Kart, when you play a game against the ghost of your last race. I’m sure it’s challenging to beat a time record and takes a lot of practice and skill, but why don’t you invite some friends over so the game can at least be entertaining, you loser.

Otherwise, he’ll be Dracu-late.

Q: Why would a vampire need a watch?

A: He wanted to see time show on a face.

….be..because vampires don’t get old.

I find that the refresh update on points is always so crazy off. So when i downvoted west, they were at something like -2 and once i clicked that button BAM -10.
It’s like, i disagreed but not THAT much.

I feel like this is a common problem, and people end up getting voted up or voted down way more than they otherwise would have.

I don’t need to read through all of these to know that Matt Versus pretty much schooled us.

Also, if i had a quarter for every time somebody misspelled my name as “Elliott” then Gabe would owe me a goddamn quarter.

CBC Radio 1!
Also Jian Ghomeshi is the best dude ever, next to Louis CK.

What was up with the Julia Roberts joke on 30 Rock? the one that was possibly breaking the 4th wall?
That episode was awesome but i did not get that particular joke, which kind of bothered me, because i am always looking for a reason to laugh at Julia Roberts.

+10Posted on Feb 9th, 2010 | re: A Videogum Poll: Who Is Secretly A Big Jerk? (162 comments)

I think Paul Rudd gives off that jerky vibe, just because he seems like he was part of the cool crew in high school. But i also think, he was that one cool guy that stood up for the bullied nerds and was like “Hey guys, enough. Leave him and/or her alone.”
Also, Michael Cera was Screech.

+14Posted on Feb 9th, 2010 | re: A Videogum Poll: Who Is Secretly A Big Jerk? (162 comments)

Definitely Ricky Gervais. Anything i’ve seen of him behind the scenes, and he’s a big bully. A witty and jovial bully, but a bully nevertheless.

I just hate that Canada doesn’t even try. We don’t get your ads. We don’t even get GOOD ads. We get like, cars driving around hill sides.

The best part are the lyrics to one of their songs.
Are those lyrics about crystallized period blood? You bet they are. You bet they are.

Did you see the way he defended his property? I would say that he is very jewish.

This video is basically his expression at the end. He is definitly getting a bit of a thrill from being caught in the act.
