I remember hearing that Jim Carrey would be involved with Cloudy and the Chance of Meatballs. I would love to see that movie, but maybe better as a whimsical, artsy animation. There’s a reason why we love the books, and sometimes we can ruin it if close attention is not paid to the ambience, visuals, look, and feeling (as opposed to the star power and budget and money-making potential)

nah. not one of the worst movies, but definitely too long, boring, and ridiculous. and i still can’t identify with a robot’s feelings. but i liked A.I. so maybe i’m ridiculous.

This is way too awesome. Where can I get this movie poster?

I, too, hope this movie doesn’t suck, but I’m pretty sure I’ll see it regardless of any previews. In fact, I don’t want to see any previews :D

I loved the pilot. perhaps because I know the source material ;) but i loved the mix of what-ifness, Biblicalish references, and sprinkles of serendipity. They’ve set it up perfectly for the people’s hero vs. embittered king of yesteryear all under the shadow of a monarch’s delicate wings ;)

However, David hasn’t been established as enough of a courageous “man after God’s own heart.” KINGS has already started with the beginnings of a typical “too flawed to look up to” hero. I’m tired of that crap. and why is he another blonde, blue-eyed, matt damon look-alike?? Why couldn’t he be Latino? I’m glad Samuel is (stereotypically) Black, but still.

and I agree, Lindsay, I hope they go far with the Biblical reference/allegory, heheh. Like let’s have David actually go all Psalm 51 and feel remorseful for something — not very common in media’s portrayal of life.

I totally remember them. Didn’t care much for them as I was never a wrestling / buff guy fan. They were sincere though.
