“Take a picture of my baby instead!”

Good thing Clooney doesn’t work with Hugh Jackman that often. Jackman’s too much of an ACTOR for pranks like that.

What were these Pervious Videogum Movie Clubs? That doesn’t sound like something anyone should see as a family…

All I could think of last night was how excited I was to read Soft Gabe’s recap because of all the hot Santana momentz and then I remembered… 4/20/11 NEVER FORGET!!!

Breaking the Waves is totes awesome. Completely messed up and totally sad, but it kind of has a happy ending? I mean as happy as Lars Von Trier can be…

I hereby nominate 21 Grams. There has to be an Inarritu movie in this mix and 21 Grams is by far the worst. While it doesn’t quite have the annoying “isn’t it hard to be a white person” problems of Babel, 21 Grams more than makes up for it with its completely inane and awful storyline, histrionic performances, and completely useless and stupid out-of-order editing that only serves to hide the fact that if the movie was told linearly it would have been so stupid there wouldn’t be enough cocaine in the world to get a Hollywood exec to greenlight it.

I know it has a long storied history of dumbness, but Fringe has really been firing on all cylinders since it came back after the midseason hiatus. Every episode of Season 3 has been on point (I would go so far to say that the only show with a better first half season this fall was Community, and only just). I know I will probably be flamed for this, but if you stopped watching during Season 1 when it was terrible and awful you should really check it out now. It’s the golden age of Fringe!

I know its not a Thursday Night Comedy, but can we please discuss last night’s Fringe? The marionette was perhaps the creepiest most insane sequence I have seen on network TV in a long time. Black Swan eat your heart out!

Yeah I mean I know he comes off as an asshole, but I’d be pretty pissed too if this happened I paid extra for a concierge service (them shits aren’t cheap) who’s main job was to tell me when to head to the plane and board. He wasn’t late for the plane because he was lazy, he was late because the people he paid to tell him when to get to the gate didn’t get him to the gate on time. It might be a douchey service to pay for (I mean it isn’t that hard) but he has every right to be pissed that because he placed his trust in that service (provided by the airline) a different airline employee wouldn’t let him on the plane.

Touche, but let me have my movie theaters god dammit! It’s the one good thing we have! To be perfectly honest though, I don’t know why an Arclight style theater hasn’t opened in NYC. I mean they could charge through the nose and people would go because NYC movie theaters are the most godawful garbage dumps in the entire universe. They aren’t even romantically awful, they are just awful. Pre-reserved assigned seats are the future and the future is now! (at least in LA).

ALSO, when you finally make it into the theater they are the most ass tiny screens I have ever seen. I have seen home theaters bigger than the screens at that arthouse theater by Lincoln Center (I saw Persepolis there and was sitting in like the second row and it still felt tiny). I understand that space is a premium in NYC, but come on!
