I am not totally sure that is what he means. Is it? Because what he actually says is not what Gabe quotes above, but that Kanye supports “getting the money out of government and letting the people govern.” Which could just mean what people mean when they talk about getting the money out of politics – i.e., reducing the influence of rich donors in politics. He doesn’t say anything about giving the money back to the people, at least in this clip. Did anyone else hear it this way?

I know I’m late on this, but I wanted to reply because I find this sort of confusing? Like, maybe I’m using a different definition of “enjoying ironically,” but sometimes Gabe posts videos of people being terrible or crazy or completely oblivious to their own eccentricities, and I guess I always assumed we were supposed to enjoy them ironically, which is to say that we are not enjoying them for being great in the way their creators intended. I’m not sure whether I’m misunderstanding what you guys mean by “ironically” (probably) or misinterpreting the point of these videos (also possible).
I know this is late, but I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your using the name filbert, a term which hazelnut remained popular outside of Oregon, but which I kind of like.

So I’ve been lurking for a while and I’ve been really impressed by how quickly monsters post witty comments to these posts. And often with jpegs and jifs too! Wow! And I wondered, do people just have these ready to go for when Gabe posts things? They must! So when I saw the video this morning, I saw exactly the gif I was going to make and post in the comments for the next post. I didn’t even have to know what the next post was; I knew this gif would perfectly sum up my feelings about it. I made the gif. I waited. I was ready.
Except the next post was the Betty White thing, and I was like, eh. So I thought, okay, I’ll wait ONE MORE.
So, uh, here’s what I think about this post, guys!
I’m sorry that it’s not really a direct commentary on it, because I actually did just read it and liked it and wish I could say something clever to let Gabe know what a great job I think he does with these wrapups. Being a monster is not as easy at looks, I guess.
There’s a list of products on the YouTube page. My favorites are EZ Cracker (at first I thought this was for those hard-to-eat crackers, but I think it’s to solve the egg problems), Urine Gone, and, the best, JumpSnap the Ropeless Jump Rope. I missed the frustrated jump roper the first time through, but when I watch it again, knowing all her problems will be solved by a Ropeless Jump Rope, she inspires me.
