Comedy Central Insider?

What’s Up with Brangelina? Why is that any more of a legitimate query than what’s up with Topher Grace? I’ve always taken it as a comment on the random obsession with certain celebrities (oh my gosh, there are SO MANY these days) more than a fan-post #onceyouexplainajokeit’snolongerfunnybutiguessoccasionallyitmustbedonegum.

Also, I don’t watch Lost or Gossip Girl but the posts are pretty funny so I read them nonetheless.

Is it sad that I only know of this reference because of Girl Talk?

What’s Up, is that this is opening on my birthday. Chicago-land Monsters, my dream is that we will assemble for this and I can call it my BBDE (figure it out). Seriously, Videogum: Chicago Drift should happen.

Andrew Koenig, actually…Walter was his dad. He (Andrew) was great on Never Not Funny.

Two of those murdered people were children. Why was this not SVU?

I feel uncomfortable talking (typing?) about my most embarrassing vocabulary mis-hear. Let’s just say it involves a Pepperidge Farm cookie that is both light and dark in color and a moment in my senior year of high school where I read the word “mulatto” in a sociology text and went “OHHHHH.”

It’s been over a decade, and it still makes me facepalm.

Also, MSCL is on Hulu right now, so it’s cost effective

Former children who grew up in Wheaton, IL who were terrified of getting lost on the Wheaton College campus and generally tell people that they’re really from Glen Ellyn:

Congratulations, Jake! I guess my furious refreshing to vote for Blaze was for naught. But I must admit, pug/chihuahua mixes are crazy adorable.

I’m a freakin Swedish American, and I feel whiter after watching this.

Whatevs, he’s just a rappist, telling us one of his raps.

I’m sure we’ve all googled them already, but in case you haven’t get to it: there’s a short-but-sweet interview at Vice.

To totally, unabashedly steal Doug Benson’s joke, Up in the Air NEEDS to win, and the presenter NEEDS to have a sense of humor and say, “And the Oscar for best picture goes to UP!!!!…in the Air”

This is a funny web video. Videogum covers funny web videos. Whatever-let-it-go-ethically, beyond that. Let’s not get our ire up, ala Jenny Slate ’09. Fuckin!

Joke or not, what Adam Sandler said about him crying made me really wonder if and when it would happen. Then the thing that got him to that point was talking about the fans enthusiasm and creativity. Guys, he’s the best.

Side-story, I grew up in Chicagoland and our weather can be PUNISHING, and ALL OF A SUDDEN. This can turn jr. high gym class syllabi into “let’s just sit in the smelly weight room and see if this clears up.” When I was in 7th grade, my bff and I got stuck in this for 4 out 5 days of a certain week. We used the time to jointly write my one and only fan letter (this was ’93, ’94, right after Late Night with C-O’B started) and we worked SO HARD ON IT. I don’t even remember if we actually sent it, but that experience totally cemented a so-far 17-year friendship – based largely on having someone to be totally goofy and ridiculous with. Conan may be a millionaire who will so completely bounce back, but I was completely teary-eyed and touched by that speech..

Every friend I’ve had since I was 15 will at some point own this movie in multiple forms (DVD, iTunes, Amazon VOD, eternally in their Netflix Watch Instantly queue) because of Mr. Keenan, so I’m sure I’ll see it at some point. But you’re right…the first trailer left me not super-enthused for my inevitable future, and the second kind of pumped.

I work at a hotel and we have tvs in our bathroom mirrors. Like, it looks like just an ordinary mirror and then you turn on the TV and there, right next to your face, is Anderson Cooper’s. We live in the future!

School of Life, starring Ryan Reynolds and the kid from Dreamcatcher who almost ate poo. I had to go on IMDB to make sure it was released in theaters (it was!) and strangely enough people were calling it “amazing.” One of the subjects on the featured message boards was, “Is this a parody?” which is pretty much how I felt about it. It’s hilariously jump into life.
