In the off chance people here haven’t seen it…

This is the video for Fiona Apple’s “Not About Love” from her Extraordinary Machine album, featuring Zach lip-syncing, critiquing, & modern-dance-interpreting the lyrics of the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u09s0uz0tEU

“I don’t care about Toy Story.” Seriously, Gabe? The ‘Toy Story’ films are 2 of the most critically acclaimed & popularly adored films of the last 15 years, if not all time. At the least, ‘Toy Story’ is notable for being the first full-length computer animated feature. However, unlike other technological landmarks (‘Tron’ and ‘Avatar’ quickly come to mind), ‘Toy Story’ & its sequel featured complex characters & a cleverly-written, original, & emotionally mature storyline — in regards to the latter, I mean the films challenge both children & adults alike to consider their own dealings with pride, self-worth, aging, & friendship, couched in a compelling storyline peppered with well-executed humor. As you undoubtedly know more about film than I do, I implore you to please reconsider the ‘Toy Story’ films & not gloss over them as standard children’s fare.

…In short, can ‘Toy Story 3′ be this weekend’s Videogum Movie Club entry? Please, anything but ‘Jonah Hex.’

They really would have been better off just reusing this:

Seriously, forget Topher Grace. What I really wanna know is, What’s Up with Norm Macdonald?

Whoa, heavy on the midget jokes there. How is this stuff different from Jeff Dunham’s? (I agree, though, that Jeff Dunham is the worst).

Couldn’t we make more money if all the actors in Hollywood who have big shiny mansions sell their big shiny mansions (I don’t think Sarah Silverman has one of these, so this isn’t about her)? Or, better yet, how about ALL of those who own big shiny mansions tear them down, sell & recycle the scrap materials, move into more humble abodes, and use their excess wealth to feed the poor? Instead of, you know, selling a building w/ major historical & cultural significance that houses tons of offices & already makes major contributions to aid & relief services throughout the world.

All that being said, maybe she just made this vid to piss off Jimmy Kimmel (raised Catholic).

The soundtrack to the Geisha Robot trailer is totally ripping off “Live or Let Die” by Paul McCartney and Wings.

My bad; i just watched the video again and he is being constantly pulled back.

This video attempts to capture the experience of bradykinesia, which literally means “slow movement.” It’s the most disabling feature of Parkinson’s, affecting the person’s every move. I don’t believe the experience causes physical pain, so the video would have been perhaps been more accurate if it showed the patient being pulled back instead of taking a barrage of punches. That being said, I’d imagine the experience would be as frustrating and humiliating as getting a virtually constant beat-down.

On a semi-related note, can we please discuss the other mind-bending movie Zach Galifianakis
is going to be in this year?

The cast also includes WIll Arnett and the voices of Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, and….Tracy Morgan. The production is questionable at best with the combined forces of Disney-sans-Pixar and Jerry Bruckheimer, and the writing team’s credits include such (not) greats as National Treasure, The Shaggy Dog remake, and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. Canl Zach, Will, Tracy, and Steve (I know, odd one out, but I like Steve Buscemi’s work) pull this one from the muck and mire?

“…black toothpaste the grinding up and exploitation of which causes things to be whiter?” Kudos on the reference to Ralph Ellison’s ‘Invisible Man.’ Hopefully that was intentional.

I can’t decide if this is a happy day or a sad day for American Irish-Catholics…
