I don’t get the Pete Campbell hate. Everyone seems to hate him, but why? He’s probably the guy that works the hardest (and I mean guy, all the women work at least twice as hard), still trying to proce he deserves his job, no matter how he got there, while all the senior partners still treat him as a kid.
Is it just because everyone is jealous he knocked up Alison Brie?
Even though last night’s episode was understandibly light on stuff actually happening, there were so many great character moments. Sansa slighting Joffrey, Tyrion’s joking to the prostitute, John Snow trying to get into the good graces of the weird incest king, Bran as the new lord of Winterfell, all wonderful stuff. Plus all the things they’re setting up? I’m so excited! I already can’t wait for the next one.
Somewhat off topic: how did Melisssandre come across? Because as a Dutchie I love Carice van Houten, but I felt her just having the Dutch accent was such a weird choice for her character. Still, the character was really bad-ass.
There’s jut something about Joffrey’s face that draws people into slapping him…
Damnit, Internation Women’s Day is RUINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!1!!!!!!!1
It’s like that old joke. “I’m not rich, my husband’s not wealthy, our gardner isn’t wealthy, our butlers aren’t wealthy and our chauffeur certainly isn’t wealthy”.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, in theaters now
Also, did you know the guy who played Inspector Spacetime is making an Inspector Spacetime web series? It’s not backed by NBC or Dan Harmon, but it is a thing that will exist: http://io9.com/5886382/theres-going-to-be-an-inspector-spacetime-web-series
I was going to make a stupid Jenny Lewis joke, until I realized Carla Gugino is apparently also in this. Why isn’t that the first thing on her IMDB page? Because it should be!
“This National Treasure movie is such a great idea, but it would be better as a documentary. Who needs all that action?” – Kirk Cameron
It’s not a restaurant, if you look at the background you can see it’s actually a Volkswagen dealership. They just brought their own table.
Pffft, this is stupid. He doesn’t even say to ask if they saw the fight outside or if she knows which movie the quote “Nobody puts baby in the corner” is from. Everyone knows that’s the only way to get a girlfriend, middle school or otherwise.
What do I think? I think you should start watching Archer, because it’s a really great show and then you could include it with a throw-away line too! Then we could have a jump-off point to talk about it. I also think you should start recapping “Ink Master”, but that’s a different discussion altogether.
I’ve never gotten why people think they need a lowest rated for an EGOT. It’s not like to get a full EGOT you have to win a Razzie, right? That would make it a REGOT. Or a TEGOR. Or OGRET. You get it.
Haha, great prank, Josh Hutcherson! You did it!
He did try to prank the Rock, but the Rock could smell what he was cookin’
Now if THIS scene was in “Somewhere’ I would have loved that movie. Plus Peter Dinklage would have done a much better job at pretending to be a huge movie star than Stephen Dorff, who did a good job of looking like a gas station attendent.
But he forgot to nomaite Hanna for the best part, which was the amazing score by the chemical Brothers. Those fight scenes with the blasting music? SO GOOD! Also, good call on the guy who played Hemmingway. Would have loved to see more award love for Attack the Block, but whadda ya gonna do?
I’m glad they had the clip of Charlize Theron in this episode, because last week I forgot to say “Watch the Theron” and now it’s relevant again. So that’s a thing.
Was not a fan of both challenges, the first was a little too restricted -make anything with shrimp, corn and fettucini- although I was glad that Sarah and Lindsey got their ass kicked by Grayson and Chris. Also very classy of Sarah to say she thought their dish was better. Really? You just lost and are claiming your dish was better than another dish you didn’t even taste? Just go home already. The elimination challenge, on the other hand, was so poorly explained. Sure, make it healthier. In what way, less fat, less calories, less sodium, more fiber and how does that compare to better taste? Chris tried to make it too healthy and got kicked out because of it.
Last thing: next week looks to be terrible. Pee-Wee? Really? And a bike race? Ugh.
You could actually make a great award ceremony based on the Academy snubs. I didn’t see every movie that people are claiming should be in, I would just like to add Hanna for best original score and Attack the Block for score, editing and visual effects at least.
Plus no Shame, no 50/50 (which had a much better chance than Bridesmaids and personally I felt was a better movie), The Ides of March got much too little, given what movies/performances were given nods, same for Drive. And no Patton Oswal!
At least now Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords will have an Oscar.
I tried to click on that Beverly poll, because I’m an idiot. I am kind of sad to see her go, because at least she seemed like a nice person who enjoyed cooking. Meanwhile, Sarah who is the worst cheftestant since Heather is still in it, even though she made basically the same thing as last week (risotto with cheese in it, look it up). She is only there to survive as long as possible, not to try to be the best chef. Still, rather Beverly than Grayson. Also, I guess it’s really Paul’s to lose now, as he seems to be consistently on top.
OT: Did anyone catch Ink Master? That show was crazaming, from Dave Navarro claiming he was a good judge because he has a lot of tattoos, the weird porn nicknames the contestants have, the vague criteria for winning or losing and the fact they called the people they tattooed ‘human canvasses’? Must see TV.
Wait, James franco has been cast in the movie about The Game? Why haven’t we talked about this? You guys, please talk about this, because that is so insane? WHY HAVEN’T WE TALKED ABOUT THIS?
“Really Timothy? You’re using such an inconsistent rhyme scene, not to mention that parameter being all out of whack. And kitano instead of katana? Do your research, dude!” – Chris Gethard, King of Authors

I thought Community was OK, but I’ve stated before that I feel these more grounded episodes don’t really work, because the characters are such cartoons. Tha’s why high-concept episodes work much better. That’s why I felt the tag at the end about Abed,s bizarre standup worked so well, especiallt the line ‘That’s from his album’ killed me. This episode had some nice character moments, but nothing really memorable.
On an unrelated note, has anyone seen Best Friends Forever? I like the talent involved, but I feel it’s pretty uneven in the humor and drama elements, but there is potential that needs time and I’m not sure NBC will give it that. The main reason I bring it up is THAT THEME SONG IS DRIVING ME INSANE! It’s a really cool 90′s throwback thing, but I can’t find what the song is and Googling BFF song lead me to abhorent results…
