I can’t laugh at this, because I’m fairly certain that if someone videotaped me singing along with David Archuleta on my ipod, I would sound exactly like this guy.
I had a roomate who liked this girl named Noel but he kept calling her “Nole” and she HATED IT. And you could tell she just hated it! Still it took weeks and weeks and finally she’s like, “You do know my name is NO-el, right?” and he said “oh, really? whoops” even though all of us had been calling her NO-el the whole time and I even sang a couple of jokes about spelling where I’m like “Love is just Ove with no ‘L’” because of funny (and maybe I was on drugs in college? i don’t remember.) To make a long story short too late: He was too embarrased to ever talk to her again and she thought he was a dumbass. I guess there are such things as happy endings.
Based on the reactions of passersby this shit happens all the time.
The best thing is that he holds out the consonant sounds instead of the vowel sounds. Amazing. He’s completely reinvented the way people sing.
