I hated the Internet excitement over the original “don’t call me a homo” kid video, because it wasn’t that funny really, and the whole thing just made me :( . But this is TBS Very Funny. Turn that :( sideways-down.

  1. I agree. The little kid video was very :( but oh my gosh I laughed my butt off at Bill (actually, I do that with a lot of his videos. It’s better to laugh than to cry!).

  2. I still find this :( because all I can think about is that poor kid pleading to not be called a homo by losers with nothing better to do with their life than call some poor kid a homo.

  3. The “don’t call me a homo” video has finally found redemption.
    *a single tear*

  4. I’m gonna take a hit here and defend my fellow trolls. If you see just the “don’t call me a homo” video, it makes him seem like some young child who innocently wandered into a mass of hate speech. But the reality is that the video that set off the trolls was an ignorant evangelical video saying “I don’t have anything against gays, but God doesn’t like it so you should stop being gay”, and then applied his own (very short) life experience of conversion to everyone else. I’m not saying that he necessarily deserves all the shit he’s gotten, but the whole debacle grew from his own publicly proclaimed prejudices.

    • The thing is that he may have really dumb and hateful beliefs, but he is still a little kid and those beliefs were probably but in his head by his parents.

      • Which is fine. I had really dumb and hateful beliefs when I was a child. However had the Internet been reasonably affordable when I was that age, I know that my parents would have instilled in me the idea that going on Youtube and attaching your face to those beliefs was a really stupid idea.

        • This is 2009, where parents apparently have no control over whether their children go on YouTube and get mocked by the world. Ugh. I’m so glad YouTube didn’t exist when I was a tween.

And as much as I’m blaming the parents, I’m sure that in a few decades I’ll have no control over who my kids mindtext or where they decide to upload their consciousnesses.

  5. Dear Gabe, you are a homo.

  6. So this is the source of all those persistent rumors about Bill O’Reilly’s sexual orientation that we’ll hopefully be hearing for years to come. I’d love to see in how many ways he can say “not that there’s anything wrong with that”.

  7. I am so torn between laughing my ass off and feeling really bad for that child.

  8. I had never heard of this video, but the boy’s pleading made me very sad. Especially the part when he said it was his friend that started it? That sucks.

  9. I’m liking those big, pink lip, O’Reilly. Mhmmmmm.

  10. Can somebody help a girl out RE: TBS? I can’t for the life of me figure out what it stands for.
