The new season of Entourage premieres on HBO Sunday, July 12th, but I’m going to save us all the headache right now with this SPOILER filled plot summary of the entire season.

Vince goes to work on Martin Scorsese’s new movie, but he has problems on the set in the heated conflict of Hollywood egos. Or maybe he sleeps with a beautiful woman and somehow that turns into something mildly dramatic that doesn’t matter. Or both. Ari tells E that he better solve this issue with his “boy” if he really is going to keep calling himself a manager. Lloyd is gay. Ari calls Vince and squeezes a stressball. Vince is so laid back it’s crazy. It’s almost as if he doesn’t even care about being famous. Ari bangs on his desk, he is so angry! Lloyd says something “super gay.” And pouts. E has moved into a fancy new office, because it is six months later and we need to show that success never ends. Insert stilted, terrible celebrity cameo. Martin Scorsese thinks that this movie is going to take Vince’s career to the next level. Johnny Drama asks if there is a part in it for him. Vince buys everyone something really expensive as a gift for being his friends. Turtle gets some “pussy” on the side. There is a pool party maybe? E gets teased for being too nice to women and not just shitting all over them. Ari’s wife is mad at him! So he buys her something! Small condescending subplot about how they are Jewish. 50 Cent is on the show, and it is ridiculous, and awful. Does his cameo have something to do with Turtle’s music management career? No one cares. For one week three episodes before the end of the season there is tension when it seems like maybe something will be taken away from Vince, or as if there are any stakes whatsoever in this show. Within 15 minutes of the finale that tension will dissipate, and everyone will go out for high fives and champagne. The season will end with Vince buying a private island on the moon because of how he has all the fame again. The show leaves viewers wondering whether or not Vince will ever get even more famous and happy.

Ill just be over here hangin with “my boys”

  2. I hate that I know people who are shocked that I don’t like Entourage.

  3. Let’s meh it out.

If the series finale ends with Vince dying of a drug overdose and E just shrugs and gets on with his management company, all will be forgiven.

  5. Fiddie’s about to get gangsta on Turtle and Vince!

  6. college humor just premiered a video that’s really similar to this.
great minds/shitty tv shows or whatever.

  7. Here’s my synopsis of this season: “Sex & The City” for men, Season 6. The end.

    • Dead on. But anytime I tell that to a guy who watches the show (it’s only guys who watch the show), they get all NUH-UH. Look, don’t fight it, just accept it, and douchechill.

Also: This season is sure to feature lots of Jamie-Lynn Sigler, since she is dating both Turtle and the actor who plays him. Why someone would date either of those men is beyond me.

  8. this has essentially been my problem/disappointment with Weeds ever since the first two seasons. repetitive story lines only more and more ridiculous to the point where my disbelief is no longer suspended.

    • I know! Season One of Weeds was pretty decent and fun, but once she started running a grow house while dating DEA agents, it was all out the window. The show tried to demonize pot too much at that point. When she was just a housewife dealing dime bags it was interesting, but then they had to go and make her some crazy drug czar for no reason.

Wow you must have been so super proud of that comment to have gone through posting it three separate times. Don’t feel too stupid Tim, the interwebs are hard :-/

  12. The real question should be whether Seth Green makes another meta-cameo as an asshole midget child actor with a Napoleon complex. That seemed so fresh the first couple of times.

    • Alleged Pimp  |   Posted on Jun 15th, 2009 -1

It’s funny. I always root for Seth Green in the annual “Seth Green vs. the Gang” episodes, since he is actually talented and funny. Unlike any of the principal cast (except maybe Piven, but his schtick got old in 2005)

  13. Pretty much the worst television show HBO has ever produced, and yes I remember Dream On and Arliss.

  14. Looks like you left nothing out except for some pot-smoking.

  15. “What up”s will be distributed

This show used to be a pretty subversive commentary on the ridiculousness of celebrity lifestyle and culture, but after the Aquaman storyline ended (whenever that was) it wholly became emblematic of shallow lifestyle it lampooned. Pretty sad.

That said, I’m still going to watch the shit out of this season.

  17. chrismcgowan  |   Posted on Jun 15th, 2009 +11

ill still watch that show because theres boobs in and i am a retard

  18. brad  |   Posted on Jun 15th, 2009 0

You forgot the part where Ari solves all of their problems but then Eric for no logical reason disagrees with everything Ari says and blah blah blah everything almost falls apart for everyone 5 episodes later they do exactly what Ari initially said.

  19. This was absolutely brilliant. Now please explain to me, despite agreeing with the contrived nature of the show’s premise, WHY I STILL WATCH IT?!

  20. You forgot Vince being in a serious relationship for two episodes before the chick runs off somewhere random and on the other side of world. Then back to Vince sticking everything in Hollywood. Then for some reason Lil Bow Wow in a sex scene.
Still going to watch this season and more than likely love it. At least I am not a Two and a Half Men fan.

  21. I gave up around the Medellin arc. I thought it did too…but whoa, it’s still on? I’m actually surprised.

Who cares? We’re all still going to watch it because sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy a little easy entertainment.

this show is fucking awesome, fuck you fag ass haters haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  25. boner  |   Posted on Jul 1st, 2009 +4

also why would this show win so many awards, if it was a such bad series?

Granted, aside from you whether you like the show or not, it has shortcomings (refer to the previous comment someone posted of why Bow Wow is having sex in one scene)- as, arguably, every show does. But, I do not see why someone who does not like the show (assuming you do not, or once did and now do not) would take the time to type up an article blasting the show? Sure you can say whatever you like and can answer my inquiry with “freedom of speech” etc., but it would not answer my question. Frankly, you have no idea what season 6 will entail; it could continue its downward spiral (which I would be in agreence with many that it is) or maybe they might actually improve upon the previous couple of seasons. The suggestion of how the characters are “emblematic of [a] shallow lifestyle” is correct, but from that I would like to suggest, as “Tim” has said, that odds are you probably failed at something and now you write blogs (poorly) and I would like to deduce from your lack of producing any form of competent writing that you, Sir, are probably shallow and probably hate your life. Which (go ahead and blast me) you probably should.

  28. What I really dislike is the fact real life douchebag Mark Wahlberg actually once blinded a Vitenamese immigrant-think you’ll see anything like that on this show? Also, regarding Mark Wahlberg true story pretty blonde girl gets in the elevator at what used to be the Bel Age Hotel in West Hollywood and douchebag Wahlberg is in the elevator. He starts coming on to her and says “you want to come back to my room to fuck?” Blonde girl says “Well if your dick isn’t any bigger than your brain we won’t be having much fun.” Everyone laughs.

You could do this about any show on TV. It’s okay to not like something.. but this show accomplishes exactly what it wants, which is basically to be sex and the city for dudes. Every girl who watches that show wants to live that life, buying all that shit in new york and getting nailed. Every guy wants to live their life too: be rich and get pussy and smoke weed and make fun of your friends. They aren’t trying to be anything other than what it is, which is a dreamworld for normal dudes

it’s television. why evaluate so personally. it will be played no matter what you or I speak up to. and if you get stuck somewhere the series is being watched, don’t cry out. for it is being WATCHED for a reason. there is too much controversy in this world to be wasteing personal time on such a matter as a television series. this is not an entry to defend or oppose the show. just one to provoke realization.

I too think Seth Rogen is both ugly and overrated, but I don’t like Entourage either anymore. It has become a parody of a parody and while it was always shallow and pointless it now leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I actually think the few lines about Seth Rogen were as interesting as the new series has got, obviously everybody else agrees because that’s all they’re talking about as well, but it just exemplifies how the guys-next-door have become bitchy twats just like all the other Hollywood insiders (who cares if that is intentional) I’ll probably still watch it though, we are all Hollywood, or it wouldn’t exist.

You guys can lick my sweaty ass taint after I finish a set of POWER SQUATS in a gym without airconditioning! Entourage rocks and you faggots wouldn’t know funny if it walked in on your Mom doing the reverse cowgirl on your Uncle. You guys are the steam that comes off my dogs turds on a cold winter morning.

Whats the point of the show? What do you mean? It’s a hilarious, brilliant show. Yes they go around doing notihhng, but so did Seinfeld and so does It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.. Sorry it’s not the show HUNG, which is the GAYEST tv show on tv. k thanks

  43. okay, well, your summary is funny as shit and pretty spot on and now that i’ve been watching this show for a while i’ve noticed the same thing too (and yes, the storyline is sometimes stupid, blah blah blah, just because vince is famous doesn’t justify how much pussy he gets on the show).. but i love this show (and don’t hate) not for all the ridiculous bullshit it’s about but b/c it’s funny and i enjoy all the characters. in some ways it is good to watch just b/c the dialogue is incredible. with that being said there’s so much worse shit on television out there. for that sake, at least this show has a bunch of fine ass girls on it and it really isn’t that dull. only a few other shows top it (scrubs, arrested development, seinfield, curb yr enthusiasm). bag on it all you want, i still give it a thumbs up.
