After five months of anticipation (the last one was back in December, with Jon Hamm), Between Two Ferns, Zach Galifianakis’s interview show on Funny Or Die triumphantly returned just a few minutes ago with pretty superstar “Acteress” Natalie Portman and her little dog Whiz. Predictably, Zach makes Natalie fake-uncomfortable with questions about her pubic hair styling, and comes close to challenging her dog to a penis measuring contest.
“I do a lot of work with IMDB.” Welcome back, Zach.

Those are my two favorite people in the world. Bravo, Natalie and Zach, I LOLed my ass off.
wow. i am in love. with V for Vagina.
As a big fan of the Michael Showalter Showalter, I wish that Zach would interview Michael as as sequel to Michael’s interview of Zach.
^I wish I could find a simpler way to phrase that, maybe with more pronouns.
i liek wen he was natanel buckner and he s like thank ye thank ye

Uh…pass. Classic!
How come she didn’t answer any of his questions? But seriously, she has great legs!
Boner riot.
That was the least funny one, but still pretty good.
Well. Her hair got longer.
can someone tell me how portman gets all this universal acclaim as an actress and indie cred when she stars in, for the most part, crappy hollywood films (the professional aside) like star wars and closer? is it because she dates indie rockers?
I think there are a variety of reasons. The the most prominent one though probably has to do with her choices as an actress and her overall sensibilities as a person. I think we can all agree that the culture behind “indie” has gone completely mainstream and that, for the most part, authenticity and sincerity serve as the benchmark for what hipsters like to label “indie” (as it has always been). With that said, she was discovered as a child actress in Leon and according to track records, child stars usually don’t really grow up to be anything more than just shadows of what they once were. So it was rather impressive to see Portman come to her own, choosing cute little pieces with venerable actors and directors (Michael Mann, Woody Allen, Susan Sarandon, Sigurney Weaver, Tim Burton, etc.), all before she became well known in the public sphere with Star Wars. She then was accepted to Harvard (a plus for intellectuals), was casts as Luke’s friggin mom while attending school (a plus for geeks everywhere), and after her time in the limelight, chose to finish school instead of pursuing A+ status in Hollywood. Even after she finished school, she started to pick roles that matched “authentic” sensibilities (as opposed to fellow actresses her age, who were doing Fantastic Fours and Sex Rom Coms). She worked with Mike Nichols on Closer, Anthony Minghella in Cold Mountain, and was absolutely adorable in Garden State (which, I know, most hipster-creds hate). Besides V for Vendetta, she choose a number of bit roles in small films like, Free Zone, My Blueberry Nights, Goya’s Ghost, Paris Je Taime, Darjeeling Limited (short), etc. So in short, I think a lot of people see her as an “authentic” person because she mostly takes on roles she considers interesting and not necessarily conducive to advance her career. Oh, and also, she dated Gael Garcia Bernal and Devendra, so I guess that helps? And yes, I am her A&E biographer.

Those movies all sucked harder then devandra beardhearts music.
That Coppola movie with Gallo looks interesting. He’s a fine comic actor… Natalie…same thing…she could be Alice from the Honeymooners. And why the hell not when you think about it. It would be alot cheaper than “Earl” to produce…
I don’t know who this dude is, but if he’s gotta judge his dick against a dog’s, he has some fuckin issssssssuuuuuuees!
zach galifianakis = THE BEST.
ADD or something like it kept me from reading > half of that, but speaking of Devendra (was anyone speaking of Devendra? oh well), this is one of the most enjoyable things I have ever read on the intertron. Behold:
In Which We Request That You Not Tongue Our Balls
I meant for this to be in reply to billypilgrimisunstuck, but I was paranoid about my fancy pants html link bc I’m a little stoned. So I hit the preview button to make sure my linky was straight and that wiped out the whole reply thing.
