Like a tropical storm, the feud that began between Jon Stewart and Jim Cramer last week and gained momentum over the past few days has grown big enough to name: the predictably humble “Basic Cable Personality Clash Skirmish ’09.” Last night, Jon mocked Jim Cramer’s tour of NBC’s properties with his own tour of MTV Networks shows, including The Hills.
If Jon seemed to be pulling a few punches last night (no new “fuck yous”), maybe it’s because Jim Cramer is now scheduled to be on the show tomorrow, where presumably these two will just do it already and get it over with.

I’d like to see Jon kick Jim around the Daily Show set as much as the next guy, but I just know I’m going to squirm when the audience starts applauding and booing. What’s that thing Conan used to say before he died? Professional Wrestling Audience.
