Gabe has a good point about certain people’s obsession with Conan O’Brien’s last week in his time slot. I don’t dispute it, and in fact I feel a little sheepish (but not that sheepish) for staying up every night this week, drinking the Conan kool aid, though in my defense, the show has been extra-extra good. But clips like this one, a classic from Conan’s Walker, Texas Ranger series, is a great example of something we have to celebrate now because we probably won’t be seeing it at 11:30:

Aww. Actually, he probably could show that at 11:30, of course, since it originally aired much earlier, but he should probably wait, so as to ease his delicate new audience into the concept of making fun of kids with AIDs. (Via Mark Lisanti.)

  1. I remember after he showed this, Conan stood up, slowly walked to the back of the stage, and stood solemnly looking out the “window” over the city for several moments. My god, that man is funny.

  2. Conan’s reaction to that is just as funny.

P.S. This is the exact clip I wanted to see when I clicked. Kudos.

let’s just hope conan doesn’t change whoever books the music for his show.

  4. Good for you, Haley. Just rip that band-aid off quickly.

  5. Walker would be the last person I’d want to tell me I had AIDs.
