Have you seen those silly commercials for The Snuggie, the blanket with sleeves? Of course you have. Everyone has. It’s huge. Everyone’s mom sends it to them every day. Well, now the ladies of CBS This Morning have discovered The Snuggie commercial phenomenon, and shared a Snuggie on the air this morning, much to Harry Smith’s probable chagrin about his long and respected journalism career:

Its a fucking backwards robe. Why don’t people recognize that?
Do you wear your robe backwards? Is your backwards robe that voluminous? Anyway, I don’t own any robes, so I might as well just buy a Snuggie and wear IT backwards.
The snuggie ad always makes me think of the Tracy Jordan Meat Machine because they seem to have the same advertising philosophy.
TRACY: Dr. Spaceman, is it true that a blanket without sleeves eats away at your brain?
DR. SPACEMAN: We have no way of knowing because the powerful sleeveless blanket lobby keeps stopping my research.

I saw Tim and Eric last weekend and DJ Douggpound used a sample of the Snuggie commercial in his set. Not to mention one from those “cash for gold” commercials.
the two best infomercial products ever have to the Snuggie and the Shamwow… i wonder if it’s possible to combine the two, and make a single, super-absorbent robe?
