Vulture reports that James Franco missed the Golden Globes because he’s getting an MFA in poetry at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. Add this to NYU Film School, the Creative Writing MFA program at Columbia, and rumors of attendance at Brookyn College, and dude knows how to matriculate. Either that or he’s just messing with us.

    Yes Franco is super sweet and smart–great to talk to during his time as an MFA student–very polite but shy. Indeed was there in the a.m. the day after the Golden Globes, just sitting quietly taking notes on a lecture by his MFA lit. professors at little Warren Wilson Coll. in Swannanoa, NC!
