I will contain my disappointment in everyone I know in the city of Chicago for not making me aware of this before today, because this is it: the MOST AWESOME video of Monday, November 24, 2008: “The Ballad Of Vincent,” a guy who has dressed up and danced his way into the hearts of Windy City local morning news viewers and anchors. The Vincent documentary premiered a couple weeks ago at the Cucalorus Film Festival in Wilmington, NC. Great movie, plus Vincent and the director were there for a Q&A.

Somehow I vaguely remember this guy but I don’t usually catch the morning news so I was not familiar with him. That is incredible. I’m mad that I didn’t know more about him. I love him. He is totally Chicago’s mascot.
Also: his spinning reminds me of Leatherface’s dancing at the end of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Y’know, but with colorful suits.
