John Hodgman, the only famous person who literally everyone likes, was on Conan O’Brien last night to promote his new book of made-up lies, More Information Than You Require, and to poke fun at his celebrity, striking comparisons with Jay Z, and lack of sports interest:
John Hodgman on his tuxedo: “Gentleman’s Quarterly Magazine gave it to me for being on television.” That guy is the best. Give his book to everyone on your list.

There is something wonderfully refreshing about a person who becomes famous for playing a nerdy geek, and then…when you see him in person…learn that he’s every bit the nerdy geek he’s been pretending to be. Gives the rest of us hope, somehow.
