One gets the sense that the main goal in this new season of Real Housewives is to make everything bigger. By moving the show to Atlanta where there’s just more physical space they can show extravagance and wealth on a bigger, flashier scale than is possible in crowded hives of nesting nightmares like New York and Orange County. Well, maybe Orange County was pretty outrageous, but New York was just silly. You have to actually live here to understand why a crappy apartment with a cramped dining room and a closet-sized kitchen is supposed to be the height of success. The city is a vampire. Anyway, it seems like Bravo is achieving that goal. Everything on this show is very ridiculous. But, you know, mo money mo problems, right? And apparently mo money mo horrible parenting skills. Someone should have called child services on last night’s episode, because that shit was a negligent mess. So, who is the worst mom?*
Kim Zolciak
Let’s not beat around the bush. Kim Zolciak is the worst mom. But not just barely, by a ton. She’s the Usain Bolt of worst moms (how many gold medals in metaphor and field did I just win?). As she crosses the worst mom finish line she winks at the camera and all the other moms are like “Fuuuuuuuuuuck youuuuuuuuuuuuu.” I have no doubt that Kim loves her children. You know, like how girls who buy purse puppies love those puppies. So cute! Children are the best accessories for your killer outfit! Last night’s episode focused mainly on the 11th birthday party that Kim threw for her daughter, Brielle. It involved a Hummer limo, a sleepover party in a hotel, and a fashion show. It also involved giving Brielle (11 years old) a Louis Vuitton purse. Fair enough. Forget it, Jake, it’s Atlantatown. But the worst part is not the wanton spending, the focus on material possessions, or the over-indulgence of a child not yet in puberty, it’s the glass of white wine Kim is holding at noon while she yells at the party planner. And then it’s the complete abandonment of the kids during lunch to head down to the hotel bar and get a drink because Kim’s so mad at the party planner some more. Finally, it’s the cocktail Kim’s holding during the afternoon “fashion show”. Jesus, woman. Get a grip or a grip will be gotten for you. By the legal system.
Ne Ne Leakes
I am still on team Ne Ne. She’s self-involved and probably too narcissistic to really give her children the unconditional love and self-abnegating attention they need, but what overly indulged incurious housewife with no ambition beyond “being fabulous” isn’t? Ne Ne’s heart is in the right place, and she wants to do right by her kids. It may be true that she doesn’t know what doing right by them actually means, but she’s trying. Granted, it says something about this show that Ne Ne, who is by all accounts a ridiculous, flamboyant, unaware monster in need of unimaginable amounts of attention to fill the void that is her aimless soul comes across as the least abhorrent. But it’s true. She’s the lesser of so many evils.
DeShawn Snow
DeShawn’s main problem seems to be her confusion over what it actually means to have children. In the same vein in which we learned last week that she sat down with an interior decorator for three hours and then let them fill a seven billion square foot house without any further input from her, one gets the sense that Mrs. Snow would just as soon leave the tending, care, and rearing of her children to the help. Which she mostly does. And again, forget it, Jake, it’s Atlantatown. As long as she hires the most expensive help, maybe that’s even preferable to being raised by a woman who doesn’t want any part of it. But the thing that gets weird is when she talks about how hard it is raising the kids with her husband on the road all the time? Raising the kids? The woman has a personal chef, a personal make up artist, an executive assistant, and cetra, and cetra. I’m just not sure how it’s any harder to ignore your children when your husband’s not there, since it’s the same staff doing all the work either way.
Lisa Wu Hartwell
I am still convinced that Lisa Wu Hartwell is not on this show.
Sheree Whitfield
Despite being declared the overall worst last week, Sheree redeems herself as far as her momness is concerned this week. Kind of. For one thing, she gave a quote in one of the interview segments last week that she wanted a seven figure settlement from her divorce from former NFL offensive tackle Bob Whittfield, and that she wanted to ensure that she maintained the lifestyle to which she was accustomed, if not better. But this week they replayed that same quote and she actually says she wants to ensure that her children maintain the lifestyle to which they’re accustomed, if not better. Bravo, the Trickster God of editing! This is much more palatable, Sheree, nicely done. She also talks about how glad she is that the court has forced Bob to take more of a role in the parenting of their children, which is sad, but she wants them to have a father, and the court is making them have a father, and did you see the ridiculous party that Kim threw for Brielle? Sheree did have one major stumble, though, when she sent the kids off for their weekend with Bob by pointing out how important it was for her to have some time just for herself. What? BITCH, ALL OF YOUR TIME IS TIME FOR YOURSELF, YOU DON’T DO ANYTHING. I did not like that part!
*Any mom who would wilfully subject her children to the pressures and sadness of being on reality TV to fulfill her own quest for narcissistic attention-seeking fulfillment is the worst mom.

This show should have a mandatory sequel where all the moms spend a month in Africa to help children build homes and get clean water. I would really, really, really, really, really like to see that.
The worst moment in parenting on the show involved Sheree and her ex. Sheree sends her daughter out to get in the dad’s car to go with him for the weekend or something. The girl has arms full and can’t open the car door and dad can’t get his butt out of the car to help her. Mom is trying on $1000 shoes and can go outside or she might “scratch them” up. So the daugther does not get a hug good-bye or hello and she is stuck trying to get into the car by herself. These parents could not be less loving if they were trying. I agree with all the comments about Kim though. She is the worst parent. Parents should not be their kids’ best friends…kids have enough of those, but only one parent. She is failing in that role and it shows.

I was excited when I first learn of Real Housewives of Atlanta, but too see the show from week to week has been a great disappointment.” Sheree” you are a real peace of work a HOT mess, noting of nothing equals nothing. “Kim” what is your purpose on the show? again like your friend Sheree nothing of nothing and I really do mean nothing equals NOTHING.” NeNe” please keep on keeping it REAL just be yourself ” Lisa” I know it was hard your first marriage to Keith Sweat but remember you got 2 greats kids from it, therefore it was not a total waste, and your statement that if it don’t make you money you won’t do it” Wooooow” I am glad my God did not feel are think that way when he though of you. ” Deshawn” get with the progam of life. What are you doing,” your statement about feeling like a single parent”, come and walk in my shoes for one day and then talk about being a single parent. Ladies stop the talking about each others and remember you are not the only person on earth God help us if you were.
Sherees ex probably did not get out of the car because he didn’t want to be on the show, so that’s no mark against him when the cameras are rolling. As for what kind of father he is, there are two sides to every story and then theres th e truth and you don’t know what side he falls on. You don’t know what her intentions were when she was trying to get pregnant by him, as a lot of women have babies for a future investment to ensure that they will always get paid and have money coming in. So since neither of us lived with the two of them, then we can only speculate as to what type of father he is. He may not be any better father than she is a mother or he may be a better father than she is a mother, so stop being judgmental. As for Deshaun, shes no worst than Kim and Sheree when it comes to parenting. They act like a lot of women, so happy to have the money to live the lifestyle they may have put on hold when the chaps were younger and they are eating up the fact that their men, their husbands can afford to pay for house and children help. A lot of women in america would do the same thing to have some me time as children are grueling and intensive to raise. Just because they wanted to have kids at some point doesn’t mean that they aren’t anxious for the kids to be grown. Deshaun needs to push away from that table, get on some serious cardio, stop trying to be so important, have her hairdresser shave down some of that thick weave. She epitiomizes the typical black female in america. hair and nails did, serious money spent on a weave, cut outfit, but all that fat hanging off her thighs and stomacy that she has learned to conceal with girdles. She’s too fat faced and over weight to be focusing onf parties and materialism. Poor kim, that plastic surgery has her lips looking like a womans labia and her weave is too thick and too long, she needs to get on some cardio and realize how horrible her voice is poor thing, she looks so fake and artificial and just doesn’t seem to be too happy. She and NeNe drinks too much alcohol which is why both of them looks so old. NeNE the producers love you because you keep the sterotypes of black women oing. You’re loud, horrible shape, too much liquor going down your throat, nails and hair did, but horrible shape, weave is too thick and why do all of the weaves on black women have the same part. Youre too loud, getto, ignorant, hood rat, and none of the women seem to have gotten a college education including lisa. they all act as if it wasn’t for their husbands they would be in trouble and would have no business ventures. And why is the only businesses they can think of is jewelry, clothing. real Estate? Whose idea was that. Lisa did well, she kept ballers in her life and made sure that when it ended with Keith she rushed to the quickness to get another baller, she used her thick lips, charm, long hair and mixed race to keep that money coming i. I know keith and don’t blame him for not giving permission for the boys to appear on the show. Too much foolishness, pettiness and no substance. Whether Sheree ends up with a large settlement or not, she shoudl be more focused on investing money rather than spending, her arrogance is nauseating. She acts so full of herself and her nose is too large to be thinking she is all that. Needs to get the bags under her eyes fixed and stop wanting the world to know that she has all these shoes, she wants to be kimora lee simmons so badly. She needs to learn how to decorate her house and start a real business. Tell all of them to go to school and get some college education and life education because i don’t see any of them that I would like to be like, im looking for something I can admire, but I don’t see anything. All of them are so shallow and materialistic and lisa talking about women dress for each other. What kind of women has she been hanging with. I have never in my life dressed to impress or outdo another woman, and I attend the parties of the rich and famous in atlanta. You can tell that these females are so so happy to get their 15 minutes of fame and to be on television, they want to be celebrities so badly. kim, deshaun and nene, get on some cardio and leave the liquor alone, deshaun you wear way too much makeup as if you are insecure about your appearance. shave down that weave which is too thick and fake looking. None of you are balling so large that you need to have all the hired help that you have, that is pitiful. my home is the same size as theirs and larger and I manage to run a business, pursue a second degree, take care of a child, work out every day and still run my foundation. All of you females need prayer because you’re so narccistic, arrogant, shallow, materialistic and self absorbed. I don’t see any spiritual essence emanating from your being. Stop thining you are so cute sheree and get over yourself, deshaun thinks she is cute too and kim needs to work on her low self esteem. NeNe take some ettiquette courses and lower the volume on your voice. that pot smoke has your lips too dark. you’re an embarrssment to your husband. you have no class.

Anastacia,its funny how you started out talking about not judging anyone,and yet as one continues to read your very long,long ,long letter, you dress down each woman neagatively as if you personally know her.I see though, that you defend the men. If you are so successful yourself, why don’t you just offer some positive advise and bypass all the criticism. It seems you have an awful lot of time to sit and write about this. I’m a viewer however I have to agree with Anastacia this is how society portrays a black female.. Nee is an embarrasment to the black race. I can say this because I’m a black women. They all do appear to be very materialistic greedy in my opinion. I pray for them to get saved. I do like Kandi she has wealth and not as materialistic in my opinion. When you have you don’t have to brag it will be eviedent that you have. Anastacia has said the truth in my opinion once again we are entiled to our opinions.

I didn’t see Sheree interact with her kids in a mothering or personal manner…as a matter of fact, she took her daughter on a vacation of her choice, after bringing home a stellar report card! Sheree didn’t appropriately give her daughter the proper affection and attention, in my opinion! For her daughters effort and hard work…she gave more attention to the son…telling him this is how a report card is suppose to be…putting him down, in her daughter’s moment and then offering her daughter a trip to where ever she wanted to go…so if her kids grow up confused we will all know why! You don’t pitt your kids against one another and you don’t reward a kid a vacation to anywhere for bringing home a great report card…they should work towards being great students for other reasons…the vacation should come as a complete package of your satisfication of your daughters overall well behavior and contiued efforts!

NeNe is my fav! She is in to everything! She is very much so apart of her kids day to day life…she isn’t afraid to be real with them and that is why I love her most! As far as all the ugly comments that Sheree and Kim began making regarding NeNe…NeNe you are most favored because you are real…Sheree is phony and she wants so bad to be it and she isn’t …poor Kim doesn’t know who she is and is willing to pick up anywhere that she feels that she fits…anyone spending so much time talking about how they look and how they look again…is hurting and very insecure…so NeNe keep laughing and sell the ho for $2.00, man that’s a profit! I was wondering since they have so much money to toss around, could they possibly toss some my way. I am a Missions Mobilizer and the amount of money they pay for purses would feed a village in Nigeria for a year. Ask Sheree if she wants to help fund Africa on Fire? It doesn’t pay back, but, she will truly be blessed for doing something for somebody else, especially someone tht cannot help themselves. I think all of the housewives who are mothers are great parents, but i think what they should do is combine all three houisewives orange county, atlanta and new york into one show in which they are all on a road trip trying to help other mothers less fortune then themselves.

I don’t usually comment on any show. But, let’s face it Ne Ne is the star of the show. She is so down to earth and real. Even if her house did get foreclosed on she will bounce back. Ne Ne is a Lady who drinks some times way too much. But, she is always keeping it real. For all the haters and bad comments about Ne Ne you know deep down you are so much like her.
