It was reported yesterday that Kanye is developing a puppet-based variety show for Comedy Central called Alligator Boots. I made the argument that this sounded like a terrible idea. Today, we get our first glimpse of what the show is going to look like, and I don’t want to blog I told you so, but WOOF.
This is the final proof that we need to convince a hesitant public that it’s time to put an end to calling things the “Muppets of [blank].” Meet the Feebles was not “the Muppets on drugs,” Crank Yankers was not “the Muppets meet the Jerky Boys,” and this is not the “Muppet Show for hip hop.” Just because you put puppets in something terrible doesn’t make it comparable to something that was good. REAL TALK.

This is the Alec Baldwin of vanity projects
more like “the muppet show of reinforcing negative race/gender assumptions”.
Uh oh, somebody call the BIA (Bad Idea Agency) looks like a case of not funny is threatening television and the American public.
I always thought that the Muppet Show was were where the characters from Sesame Street went when they got old and started drinking….
That it was, “The Muppets meets the adult world on booze”- is this wrong?
Also, “Just because you put puppets in something terrible doesn’t make it comparable”- LOL I’m simple and I like the fact that (depending on how you say it)- it rhymes. You got mad fresh MC skillz GABE!
Worse than Family Guy.
I like that Kanye only said “On the floor”
and
“that was tight G”
I laughed
I took his black card away long ago (I can do that because I’m black and don’t wear those ridiculous glasses) which is why this show is even more horrendous than you initially think.
I think the idea is good but you need to modify it a little.
