Yahoo! News reports that the cast of Dallas are getting together for a 30th anniversary reunion party, and it’s open to the public.

Cast members of the popular prime-time soap opera that ran from 1978-91 will return to the Southfork Ranch north of Dallas on Nov. 8 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show. Several key actors, including Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, have confirmed they will attend.

The reunion at the ranch in suburban Parker, north of Dallas, is open to the public. Tickets go on sale Aug. 22 and will cost between $100 and $1,000. The event will include fireworks, a country music concert, a question-and-answer session with the cast and tours of the mansion.

I know that Dallas was a hugely popular show across the country that pulled in viewers from all walks of life with its soap operatic plotting and cliff-hanger stunting, so theoretically anyone could be at this party. But I can only picture a thin crowd of women in their late-40s to early-60s with single streaks of crimped hair (just for fun), changing from tennis shoes to some comfortable heeled pumps in the car and heading out into the dusty twilight after one too many wine coolers. They pretend to enjoy the country music and to be fascinated by the tour of the mansion as they secretly drain the airplane bottles of Bailey’s from their purses. And then I see them storming the stage during the Q&A in a rush of nostalgia-and-disappointment-fueled superstrength, raping Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy, and eating Linda Gray raw. That is the only way I can picture it. Looks like FUN!
