When you watch Mad Men, do you make a mental note to look up actors like Vincent Kartheiser (Pete Campbell) to see how they could possibly not look like people from the early ’60s today, but then you get into the show and forget? Here’s an insane picture of most of the cast without their elaborate costumes:

    I love the guy Pete Campbell. He is both awesome and dare I say beautiful in real life.

    from left to right: better in 2008, way worse in 2008 (or 1991 — grunge? really?), worse in 08 (the goatee really works for him!), worse in 08 (snore, another scruffy actor), waaaaaay better in 08 (wow — revelatory), just as painfully hot either way, and much better in 2008.

  5. I totally agree with Jeb on Peggy/Elisabeth Moss. It never fails to amaze me at how good the makeup people are at making her look like a big old pile of frump.
