Fox News consulted animal expert Jeff Corwin this morning about this week’s internet sensation, the photo of an unidentified dead animal now known as the “Montauk Monster.” Corwin puts aside speculation that it was “a turtle without its shell” (my personal favorite theory) or some kind of cobbled-together viral marketing scheme and insists that it’s just a plain old dead dog (or possibly raccoon):
