In a more-than-coincidentally-timed announcement that will no doubt stir up all those Batman people, Will Ferrell has signed on to star in a movie called 2-Face:

Ferrell is attached to play the title character, a racist who, after a prank gone awry, develops a split personality.

Ugh, really? Please don’t let the other personality be someone of another race. I believe in Will Ferrell, and as awesome as it is that this isn’t another sports movie, it sounds a little too much like a job for Jim Carrey. But this comment about it on Comingsoon.net is funny:

Yes, that is why today’s news is suspect.

  1. I have to say I agree with Mike, but I hated him long before I didn’t bother watching Bewitched.

  2. Yeah, the only things I’ve actually liked that he’s done were the Oblongs and Blades of Glory. There’s something about Will Ferrell when he has straight hair (or in the case of the cartoon, playing a balding character) that gives him that extra something. It’s kind of like the deal with Avery Brooks: The hair changes everything about the acting skills.

I thought he was totally brilliant in Anchorman, until the plot broke down. Still, some incredibly memorable lines in there…

“I’m kind of a big deal.”
