Oh man, with total apologies, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal were on The Today Show this morning, and this clip from the show has been titled “Aaron Eckhart Tells Moving Story About Heath Ledger’s iPod”, so, um, yeah. It is a moving story about Heath’s friends passing along his favorite music to each other, but it would be so much less cringe-worthy if “record collection” were substituted for “iPod”:

It’s also creepy because they’re all using their weird low-toned “someone died” voices to talk about “crazy whacked out music nobody’s ever heard of” on an iPod. It is just impossible to say “iPod” in a serious context, even for Aaron Eckhart. He might want to take that story out of his Dark Knight publicity tour repertoire.

Thanks, Aaron. All that talk about Heath Ledger’s iPod, and you don’t even tell us what he was listening to. Jerk.

Thanks, Aaron. Now the records companies will be lining up to sue Ledger’s estate for music piracy. Jerk.

  3. I can’t wait til “Heath Ledger’s Crazy Whacked Out Music Nobody’s Ever Heard Of” playlist hits the iTunes store!

You people are ridiculous. No one is going to sue him. Did you ever give thought to the fact he might have payed for the music? But you people automatically assume the worst, and come to conclusions that Aaron Eckhart has done some horrible thing for Heath. Mr. Eckhart is sharing information that no one asked for, that he felt compelled to share with the world that loved Mr. Ledger. I don’t deny I’d like to know some of his favorite music as well, but it’s his business and it’s a joy that his friends are doing that to remember their friend. Mind your own business and show some respect.

  5. I still can?t believe he?s dead. I just saw THE DARK KNIGHT a couple of weeks ago and I was completely amazed by the part he played. I bet he will get a post mortem Oscar for that part. He was a great actor ? so this is a big lose for all movies and theater lovers. If he would have realized what he was doing? if he would have done at least from time to time a drug detox treatment, maybe things would have been different now. We will never forget him!

  6. I would love to know more about what music he was listening to at the time. It would be a real insight as to what his mind was like then. I wish someone had noticed his prediction drug abuse and helped him get the drug treatment he needed before it was to late. He was a great actor and person who didn?t deserve to die like this.
